This study determined the level of acceptability of Innovative Product onFish Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) Dumplings and its Cost Analysis. This studylooked into the following questions: Problem 1.The innovated product process of100on taste, aroma, color, flavor and appearance according to the cooking meth-ods: Deep-frying; Steaming and Baking. Problem 3. The significant differencein the level of acceptability on taste, aroma, color flavor and appearance whengrouped according to the cooking method. Problem 4.The cooking method whichhas the highest level of acceptability. Problem 5. The cost-analysis of the in-novated product: Production Cost and Operational Cost. This study made useof the experimental method of research in conducting the study including thesampling scheme, sensory evaluation, acceptability of the products by the con-sumers according to varied cooking methods and its potential co-preneurship withstakeholders. The study had 85 students from the USTP-Cagayan de Oro , La-pasan, Cagayan de Oro City who served as respondents to determine the level ofacceptability while 10 food processing faculty experts and five (5) industry ex-perts from Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental were chosen to stabilize theresult. The study showed that the respondents rated the 100appearance in termsof the cooking method as follows: a) Deep-frying at 73very much, with an over-all rating of like moderately (mean= 7.41) yet with a standard deviation of .88signifies that the responses varied from each other; b) Steaming at 71an over-allrating of like moderately (mean=7.18), yet the standard deviation of ,87 signi-fies that the respondents vary from each other; Baking at 58rating of like moder-

ately (mean= 7.08), yet the standard deviation of 1.32 indicates that the responsesvary a lot from each other The null hypothesis, there is no significant differenceon the level of acceptability of 100grouped according to cooking method is AC-CEPTED in Color (F= 1.272788NS), taste (F=0.094279NS) and over-all accept-ability (F=2.450924NS).However, the data showed that there is a significant dif-ference in aroma (F=3.471181*), and a highly significant difference in terms ofappearance (F=4.858406**) and flavor (F=8.296305**)..The result showed thatsteaming had a higher mean score than frying. Deep frying the dumpling also re-sulted to difference in color as compared to steaming. In terms of appearance, thedumpling in deep frying gained higher mean score. This is because the dumplingthat is deep friend is intact and properly wrapped. While in steamed dumpling ithas the tendency to swag. Considering the previous results, the difference is notsignificant The total production cost is five hundred eighty and forty-eight pesos(P. 580. 48) and the total operational cost is three thousand eight hundred eightytwo peso (P 3,882.00). Based on the results it shows that the tilapia cooked indifferent cooking method is acceptable to the evaluators and consumers. It canbe used as an alternative in dumplings. It can be sold in a form that is deep fried, while it can also be sold in steamed method. Because preference of consumers canvary, It is important that this variety can be supplied to the consumer. But funda-mentally the innovated product, tilapia, used in dumplings is acceptable, but somewould prefer deep fried, while others would prefer dumplings that are steamed.Nonetheless, both are acceptable. Based on the results of the study, it is thereforerecommended that Food innovators use the Tilapia dumpling as an innovative ideato add on the selection of dumplings they sell or manufacture. Local Food Pro-ducers & Entrepreneurs can consider the innovated product as a good source ofincome and could double their marketability since the raw material is abundant insupply.

Keywords: Fiddlehead Fern, Nutrient Content, Physicochemical, Microbial Anal-yses, Sensory Evaluation, Fern Pesto

The vegetable fern plant (Diplazium esculentum (Retz.) Sw.), locally knownas pako in Besigan, Cagayan de Oro City, is a good source of nutrients which, anample of serving of this vegetable fern in a meal, would help alleviate nutrient-related problems. Fiddlehead fern is often listed among the several kinds of edibleferns mostly found in the different places in the Philippines and other tropicalcountries in Asia, such as Indonesia, India, China, Japan, Thailand and even inNorth America, Hawaii and some parts of Australia. This vegetable fern whichis usually found in gravel bars, bank of streams, rivers, freshwater swamps orin the wilds, is often sold in bunch in local markets at a cheaper price and canbe eaten cooked or raw. The purpose of this study was to use fiddlehead fernas an alternative ingredient for basil in making pesto and to enhance its healthbenefits. The fern pesto product was tested by F.A.S.T. Laboratories, for nutrientcontent, physico-chemical properties and microbial analyses. For sensory evalu-ation, the 9-point Hedonic Scale was used. This study found that fern pesto is agood source of nutrients such as crude protein, % (9.65), calcium, % (0.12), iron,mg/kg (15.51) and potassium, % (0.24). The result indicated that the nutrient offern pesto is comparable to basic pesto made and basil pesto in the literature. Theresults of the physico-chemical analyses showed a pH level of 5.47 and moisturecontent of 30.11. This means that the fern pesto is slightly acidic and had a highmoisture content that required storing it at lower temperature to delay any micro-

bial and chemical reactions. The present study also showed that the average resultsof microbial count for total plate count, cfu/g (1.347 X 104) and yeast and moldcount, cfu/g (300) are both lower than the standard TPC (106) and YMC (104) forsauces. The fern pesto has negative result in Salmonella which is an indicationthat hygienic preparation and proper handling of the product were observed. Forsensory evaluation, it was rated Like moderately (6.5-7.4) in all parameters tested. The result implies that the panellists highly preferred fern pesto over basic pesto.

The survey was conducted from May 13 to 31, 2018 for three(3) weeks covering four (4) Terminals at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport(NAIA) in Manila. From the interviews and on-line survey conducted, it was evi-dent that there are five (5) typical emotional reactions to airport security screeningprocesses. 45% of travelers felt frustrated upon undergoing a security screeningprocess. On a positive note, 26% of the respondents felt relaxed and 16% haveunderstood the screening processes being implemented in the airports. Other neg-ative reactions surfaced were fear (5%) and humiliation (8%). Initial reactions andquestions from departing passengers such as will I get trouble? will I be treatedlike a criminal or terrorist? or will I miss my flight these are common responsesthat might be traced from a first time traveler. The results of this study will providebeneficial information to airport authorities as they determine how they can bestprovide a balanced-mixed of security and facilitation in managing airport security.

Many of us have a vision, based on stereotypical, without question, thatmost computing science programming professionals lead a sedentary lifestyle. This often attributes to having a mental image that most programmers are a groupof frumpy coders sitting behind a desk with a computer, ten to twelve hours a dayon average, writing code under high pressure where time is of the essence. We allknow that having excellent computing science programming skills often leads tohaving the most rewarding career but at the same time one of the most challeng-ing. Physical impact of sitting behind a keyboard Some of the obvious physicalimpact to name a few, in no particular order, would be: Tight shoulders, Stiffneck Pain in lower arms, wrists and fingers, Rigid hips and pelvic, Low backproblems, Disordered breathing Resulting in bad posture but more so creating ahigh stress level, thereby affecting you mentally, physically, spiritually which inturn would affect your relationships with your family, friends, and colleagues, theend result often burnout. How to cope with the physical impact and becoming thebest person and you can be? Turn stress into balance and burnout into passionMany of us would agree that, efficiency, matters the most when it comes to beinga good computing science professionals in any related field. Piloga (Pilates andYoga combination) can be very effective in dealing and conditioning your mind, body and spirit that would help you to overcome some of the physical impact men-

In this paper, CNWs(carbon nanowalls), one of the carbon based nanomateri-als, were deposited on ITO(indium tin oxide) coated glass substrates and analyzed. We used corning glass and ITO coated glass as the substrates. CNWs were syn-thesized by a MPECVD(microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition)and CH4 and H2 were used as reaction gas during synthesis. CNWs were syn-thesized at 600oC for 10 minutes. The cross-sectional and planar images of theCNWs were examined via FE-SEM(field-emission scanning electron microscopy)according to the substrate. The electrical characteristics were analyzed with a Hallmeasurement and a 4-points probe. The optical properties of CNWs were analyzedusing an integral sphere.

Human gene therapy is best known as a transfer of nucleic acids to eitherthe somatic cells or germ cells of an individual. It introduces genetic materialswhich have therapeutic purpose ranging from inherited genetic disorders to cer-tain malignancies and infectious diseases. This medical scientific breakthroughhas received lucrative demand worldwide as it offers potential treatment to curegenetic diseases in human at the molecular level. Since then, thousands of peo-ple have already participated in the trials thus it is likely to be part of medicalpractice in the future. Despite of the tremendous benefits that it promises, thisnew biomedical technology has given rise to several contentious issues from theethical and religious point of view. Since it comprises of two different therapiesnamely somatic and germ line gene therapy, each involves different proceduresthereby poses different legal ruling and decision. This study attempts to proposea complementary model of the Shariah framework on the human gene therapywith special reference to the somatic gene therapy. This proposed framework isdesigned and developed to fulfil the lacuna of the Shariah Framework on the ap-plication of the somatic gene therapy after an in depth study of its position fromthe Shariah point of view. In achieving this, a detailed analysis and outlook intothe Quranic evidences along with the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad pbuhwere carried out. Following this, its position from the pragmatic approach of the

Maqasid al-Syariyyah (Objective of the Shariah) and the Qawaid Fiqhiyyah (Is-lamic Legal Maxims) is also analysed in further detail. Various fatwas (Islamicverdict) decreed by the variety of fatwa councils from all over the world are alsohighlighted. This model of Shariah Framework would serve as the ethical basisfor the application of somatic gene therapy in Malaysia and beyond (particularlyMuslim countries) especially for Muslim doctors, scientists and Muslims at large. For Muslim countries such as Malaysia where Muslims makes the majority of thepopulation and Islam as the official religion in Article 3 of its Federal Constitu-tion, this framework is deemed to be important reference in providing the essentialguidelines on the permissibility of this therapy. Consideration of the position ofSomatic Gene Therapy from the Shariah perspective is undeniably crucial in anyattempt to regulate Somatic Gene Therapy in any Muslim countries in the future.
