DOOR

A vehicle door is a type of door, hinged, but sometimes attached by other mechanisms in front of an opening which is used for entering and exiting a vehicle. A vehicle door can be opened to provide access to the opening, or closed to secure it. These doors can be opened manually, or powered electronically. Powered doors are usually found on minivans, high-end cars, or modified cars. The interior side is also known as the car door panel.

Alloy Wheels

Alloy wheels are wheels that are made from an alloy of aluminium or magnesium. They are typically lighter for the same strength and provide better heat conduction and improved cosmetic appearance over steel wheels

Alloy wheels are also purchased for cosmetic purposes

use of attractive bare-metal finishes

Better heat conduction can help dissipate heat from the brakes

FENDER (mudguard

HEAD LIGHT

A headlamp is a lamp attached to the front of a vehicle to light the road ahead. While it is common for the term headlight to be used interchangeably in informal discussion, headlamp is the term for the device itself, while headlight properly refers to the beam of light produced and distributed by the device.

FOG LIGHT

The lighting system of a motor vehicle consists of lighting and signalling devices mounted or integrated to various parts of amotor vehicle. These may include the front, sides, rear and, in some cases, the top of the vehicle. The purpose of this

system is to provide illumination for the driver. This enables safe vehicle operation after dark and increases the conspicuity of the vehicle. The lighting system allows other drivers and pedestrians to observe the vehicle's presence, position, size, direction of travel, and the driver's intentions regarding direction and speed of travel. Emergency vehicles may carry distinctive lighting equipment to warn drivers and indicate priority of movement.

FRONT BUMPER

In automobiles, a bumper is usually a metal bar or beam, attached the vehicle's front-most and rear-most ends, designed to absorb impact in a collision. Regulations for automobile bumpers have been implemented to allow the car to sustain a low-speed impact without damage to the vehicle's safety systems.

WIND SHIELD

Page 11: 2nd exercise

The windshield (North America) or windscreen (Commonwealth countries) of an aircraft, car, bus, motorbike or tram is the front window. Modern windshields are generally made of laminated safety glass, a type of treated glass, which consists of two (typically) curved sheets of glass with a plastic layer laminated between them for safety, and are bonded into the window frame. Motorbike windshields are often made of high-impact acrylic plastic.

SIDE MIRROR

side mirror) is a mirror found on the exterior of motor vehicles for the purposes of helping the driver see areas behind and to the sides of the vehicle, outside of the driver's peripheral vision (in the 'blind spot').
