Suena a estruendo, a diversión, a bailar aunque no quieras. Para el turista Guĉa significa sumergirse en una marejada de sonidos, la de los ejércitos de viento –instrumentos, claro- que se embisten en verano a todas horas por las calles. ni Louis Armstrong, ni Chet Baker, ni Winston Marsalys, ni Miles Davis, Guĉa es otra cosa. La Asamblea de Dragaĉevo convierte a Guĉa en el epicentro de la alegría y la música de viento que le hará soltarse en medio de un parlamento callejero donde las interpelaciones a cargo de los mejores instrumentistas de los Balcanes son a golpe de pistón. Mientras escucha, podrá apagar la sed con unas jarras de Jelen, la cerveza que verá por todas partes en Serbia, sí, la de la etiqueta del ciervo sobre fondo amarillo. Siempre he dicho que si en España se juntase tanta gente con algo de alcohol en sangre en un concierto habría como poco disturbios y en cambio en Guĉa se sentirá uno más y a salvo por mucha “rakija” que hayan bebido los circundantes. No importa que no sepa la letra de las canciones, ni que no se sienta imbuido por el espíritu de nacionalismo que algunos buscan en el evento, ¿sólo déjese llevar por los sonidos!, porque a nadie le extrañará verle pegar saltos al ritmo del turbo-folk, ni que aquella chica de ojos eslavos le enseñe a mover las caderas. Para llegar a este pueblo del interior, a unas tres horas de autobús desde Belgrado, tendrá que distinguir de oído cómo se pronuncia la localidad vecina que, con nombre de latigazo, ĉaĉak, le mencionarán una y otra vez como ruta obligada al festival. No se preocupe, lo más duro son las señales en alfabeto cirílico, pero ya verá como los hospitalarios serbios le echarán una mano, metiéndose en su coche si hace falta para indicarle. Si no quiere perderse ni un solo minuto de estos cinco días de jarana asegurada, más le vale que lleve la tienda de campaña consigo, porque esos días la campiña de los alrededores está intratable de visitantes que ni se imaginan que esto más que un concierto es toda una celebración de estar vivos, dejándose los pulmones y los ojos desorbitados en cada toque de corneta.

Priscilla Ainhoa Griscti was born in the Basque region of Spain in 1985, in a tiny village called Oropesa del Mar where her parents were living at the time. Despite only spending a few months there as a baby, Ainhoa’s profound attraction to Spain is markedly evident through the use of her artistic name ‘’Ainhoa’’, a common name for women in the Basque region.
Ainhoa’s passion for art developed with her, growing as she grew, becoming intricately linked to her persona, her feelings, and her emotions. Although wonderfully surreal, her art finds many connections to the real world, to the things that incite the artist’s inspiration such as antiques objets d’art to which the artist was exposed as from a very tender age through her father, a prominent local antiquarian, who would expose his daughter to various, different, fascinating and unusual antiques.
LIFEBased in Malta, Ainhoa began her secondary education at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, where she found herself in an environment that urged her towards creativity. In her school breaks she often withdrew from the crowds into the safe haven offered to her by the art room, in which she would draw, and paint freeing her imagination. At fourteen years of age, Ainhoa attended the Malta Government School of Art which gave her a firm grounding in academic art. At sixth form she entered De La Salle College, taking art as her main subject whilst evolving a more liberal style and expression. During this time, she joined other local contemporary artists in life figure drawing at various studios on the island, where she acquired a more profound knowledge of anatomy and acquired a heightened sensitivity towards the nude figure. Also during this time, Ainhoa began working in ceramics and clay sculpture.

At eighteen years of age, Ainhoa held her first solo exhibition entitled ‘Hidden Illusions’ at Hotel Le Meridien Phoenicia in Valletta. The show displayed surrealist works of metamorphosed animals in human portraiture, powerfully expressing nature’s destructive force. ‘Hidden Illusions’ received a positive response from local and foreign art critics and media alike.
In 2007, Ainhoa formed part of the ISIDEM workshop held by the internationally reknown contemporary artist Sancho Silva. This workshop was followed with a collective exhibition of installations entitled ‘60x60x60’ at Biagio Steps in Valletta. In 2008, Ainhoa attended the SACI Malta Restoration Internship run by Roberta Lapucci and carried on practical work on the restoration of the ‘The Baptism of Christ’ by Mario Minniti.
Also in 2008, Ainhoa took Malta by storm in another solo exhibition which she called ‘Anima del Circo’. The exhibition, held at the Malta Maritime Museum in Birgu, lasted over two months and captures the attention of various art enthusiasts, followers, and collectors. The show avidly displayed large scale works in mixed media that dealt with the concept of the tragedy of human existence through the image of the circus clown. Throughout the years, Ainhoa also took part in a number of collective exhibitions and held many solo shows in prominent galleries and locations such as the Casino di Venezia in Vittoriosa, the Corinthia Palace Hotel in Balzan, and Le Meridien Phoenicia in Valletta amongst others. In March 2011, Ainhoa was chosen as one of the winners in Saatchi’s online competition and was given the opportunity to exhibit at the ‘ARTPARIS’ show at the Grand Palais in Paris, France.
Ainhoa also achieved two degrees from the University of Malta; a B.A.(Hons.) and an M.A. in Art History.

Oriol Jolonch nació un 23 de febrero de 1973 en Barcelona y aunque ha realizado estudios de diseño y fotografía, se considera un autodidacta de vocación . Su afición por plasmar realidades inventadas viene desde bien joven, cuando heredó un viejo aerógrafo de su padre con el que efectuó sus primeros pinitos, pequeños cuadritos que sirvieron para ilustrar portadas de viejos cassettes y algún que otro póster que guardó con mucho cariño en algún rincón de casa y sobretodo de su memoria.Siempre mantuvo un contacto directo con la fotografía, pero fue justo cuando esta estaba entrando en la era digital cuando le sedujo definitivamente lo que le llevó irremediablemente a la pasión por crear otros mundos, otras realidades aparentemente inventadas pero reales de una manera u otra. Son trabajos básicamente fruto de la imaginación, algunos de ellos meditados y estudiados con detenimiento y con un largo recorrido detrás, otros sin embargo son como pequeños destellos de lucidez que de vez en cuando le atacan a uno y que después intenta plasmar en forma de imágenes fijas, sin ninguna pretensión mas que la de hacer que la gente se detenga unos instantes delante de la imagen y la observe con un poquito más de atención, y si quiere, se haga algunas preguntas o se imagine la historia que podría haber detrás de cada escenario haciendo una reinterpretación de la realidad. Inducir al espectador a confundir realidad y ficción.

El pasado mes de enero tuvo lugar por primera vez en Barcelona el festival internacional de cine y moda A Shaded View on Fashion Film (ASVOFF). Creado por la gurú de la moda Diane Pernet, es el único festival del mundo que reúne estas dos disciplinas y que se celebra en ciudades como París, Milán, Tokio y México.
El festival se estructuró en una sección oficial, con una selección comisariada por Diane Pernet de los mejores cortometrajes presentados en ediciones anteriores de ASVOFF, y una sección competitiva con el concepto de “musa” como tema de inspiración. A continuación podéis ver The Clown, el vídeo que Daniel Thorsteinsson y Kolbrun Yr Gunnarsdottir, estudiantes de Diseño Gráfico y Diseño de Moda del IED Barcelona Escola Superior de Disseny, presentaron en la competición.
