299AN Module Guide…
The module is designed to enable you to identify and examine skills and attributes of leadership and to explore the management of change. We will explore current leadership and organisational theory. Specific emphasis is placed on quality improvement initiatives and the patient experience. The aim is that you will be able to integrate the knowledge acquired into YOUR nursing practice.

• Applying your experience in the clinical setting, identify a need for change in practice that would improve the quality of patient care. Focusing upon the 5 learning outcomes for this module, develop a 2,500 word proposal to address this need for change

• Management report: Proposal for change– Hand in date Tuesday 19th October before 4.00pm– You must also submit online via turnitin– 2500 words– Guidance on layout – see module guide– Advice on report writing is available on moodle– Assistance from the Centre for Academic Writing– Marking criteria – see module guide– Referencing = CUHarvard style

Course work • This is a Management Report, not an essay.• You can use bullet points.• You can use headings.• You can use diagrams and tables.• Words in tables and words in appendices do not count towards the
