Two sparrows built a nest. First they took small twigs and sticks and bent and twisted them together to anchor their home to the larger branch on which it sat.

They then gathered other twigs and sticks to form a nest, shaping each one to intertwine with the others and complete the circle.

Finally they added soft grass and leaves to make the nest comfortable.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers and sisters to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1, paraphrased).

A Lovely Nest

That’s like the loving atmosphere of the home your parents have made for you, their children.

You can help your parents make your home an enjoyable place to live by showing loving concern and care for each member of your family.

You can also keep your home a loving, happy place to live by forgiving each other if you feel let down or hurt by one of your brothers or sisters. Forgiveness is a loving way to see beyond the faults and imperfections of others. When you forgive those around you, this helps to make the home of your family a happy and loving place.

Eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3 ESV).
