LOG_SD_CI_02: Sales Order Processing in the ERP System (Enhanced)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 605), business
function Sales and Distribution 02 (LOG_SD_CI_02), there are additional functions
in the following areas for order processing in the ERP system:
o Order Processing
o Enhancements in the Lean Order Framework
Order Processing
There are new functions available in the following sales task areas.
Displaying Archived Contracts
A high volume of data for sales documents requires early archiving of contracts. Since
you still have electronic access to these archived sales documents, you can set up
archiving without delay and carry out other sales processes electronically.
o If you execute the Display Contract function (transaction VA43), the system first
searches for the contract in the database and then in the archive.
o The processing steps are identical for the sales representative, regardless of the
storage location of the sales document. You see that you are displaying an
archived contract in the message line and in the title of the transaction.
Enhanced Material Search with Creation
This index-based, cross-field full text search for materials and vendor catalog products
(without material master) has been available as of SAP enhancement package 2. It is
very efficient and provides direct access to prices, availability, and other informaiton in
the sales order environment.
o This search function is an alternative to the standard material search, providing
you with multiple search options such as predefined search criteria, your own
search criteria, error tolerance, and a key word search. The search results
contain price data, and stock information for your own plants and any other
selectable plants.
o It is quick and easy to create new material master records from the search
results, even without a template.
o The enhanced material search is based on the Search Engine Service (SES)
and uses the SES business objects BUS1001006 (standard material) and
(optionally) WSD_CAT (vendor catalog products).
This function has been enhanced for SAP enhancement package 5 as follows:
o You can now also create a material using material master processing.
o You can also personalize various settings, such as the number of search results
per page, how the results are sorted, how the ATP or unrestricted-use stock for
several plants is displayed, and whether the search results for plants without
stock are hidden.
o You can use different Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) to implement your customer-
specific business logic in the sales process. You can find the BAdIs in
Customizing for Logistics General under Material Master -> Enhanced
SAP® What's New? – Release Notes

Material Search with Material Creation -> Enhancements Using Business
Add-Ins.
o SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search is now supported in addition to the Search
Engine Service (SES). This search engine uses the search object connectors
Material and (optionally) Catalog (vendor catalog products).
Renewed Credit Check for Blocked SD Documents (Batch)
If you have integrated SAP Credit Management into the Sales and Distribution
process (BAdI: Connection of SD to SAP Credit Management; BADI_SD_CM), you can
run the credit check for SD documents.
Report UKM_RVKRED09_XI executes another credit check in background processing
for SD documents that have been blocked due to an XI failure (SAP NetWeaver
Exchange Infrastructure) or an error in the credit check.
The risk category and credit status can be redetermined for a blocked SD document, if
necessary.
Batch Recall
You can recall a batch that has already been delivered to a customer if it does not meet
quality standards or was damaged. This process is controlled in Sales Support using a
direct mailing campaign (transaction VC01N_M).
o The batch recall is controlled using the new mailing type 0111.
o The system uses a report (SDCAS_RECALL) to determine which customers are
affected based on the sales area, the material number, and the batch number.
The system creates an address list accordingly and generates a correspondence
text in the mailing campaign. The internal sales representative can edit this
default text.
o Recalls can only be generated if the status of the mailing campaign is released.
o Using report RSNAST00 (parameter Output application K1; parameter Output
type MABC), the letters are printed with the addresses of the selected customers
from one or more mailing campaigns. You can restrict the number of mailing
campaigns to be printed using the Object Key parameter.
The required settings are in Customizing for Sales and Distribution in the standard
system. For more information about additional activities you need to carry out to
synchronize the clients, see the section under “Customizing”.
Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)
You can use the following Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) to integrate your company-specific
business logic into standard order processing:
o Process List of Reference Documents for Copying
BADI_SD_SALES_CHECK_REF
You can use this BAdI when you create a sales document to define a list of
reference document items, even for different source documents. Using the
relevant copy control, the system automatically copies these items to the sales
document you created. This BAdI is valid regardless of which user interface (UI
technology) is implemented and can even be run in background processing.
o Provide Additional Tabs (Document Header)
BADI_SLS_HEAD_SCR_CUS
SAP® What's New? – Release Notes
Release Notes for Sales and Service SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Page 7 of 22
You can use this BAdI to provide up to five additional tab pages for a document
header in the VA* transactions in the SAP GUI, such as transaction VA01 Create
Sales Order.
o Provide Additional Tabs (Document Item)
BADI_SLS_ITEM_SCR_CUS
You can use this BAdI to provide up to five additional tab pages for a document
item in the VA* transactions in the SAP GUI.
You can find these BAdIs in Customizing for Sales and Distribution under Sales ->
Sales Documents -> Business Add-Ins (BAdIs). For more information about the
functions, see the documentation for each BAdI.
Enhancements in the Lean Order Framework
The Lean Order framework controls the business logic of sales document processing
(abbreviations: Lean Order API, LO API). It enables dialog-free access to the sales
logic in the back-end system. The interface itself is decoupled from the user interface
(UI) and does not provide any UI elements.
This API is used in the SOA environment, for example, or for the configurable user
interface for Sales. In the standard system, you can find the configurable user interface
for order processing (configurable sales UI, Web Dynpro application Order
Processing, LO_OIF_MAIN_APP), which is based on this LO API. For more
information about the functions that are available for the configurable user interface
with this enhancement package, see LOG_SD_CI_02: Internal Sales Representative (Enhanced).
Processing Addtional Sales Document Types
The Lean Order framework has been enhanced and the business logic has been
developed for processing the sales documents listed below. The business logic
corresponds to the logic implemented with the SAP GUI user interface in the ERP
system.
o Contracts
- Quantity contracts You choose this contract type if the total quantity to be ordered within the
contract duration has been defined. The contract is considered fulfilled
when an agreed quantity has been reached as a result of contract release
orders.
- Value Contract You choose this contract type if the total value of all contract release
orders should not exceed a certain amount. The contract is considered
fulfilled when an agreed value has been reached as a result of contract
release orders.
o Repair Order with Service Product
If customers bring faulty goods to be repaired, you use repair orders (such as
sales document type RAS) to control the business processes for processing the
faulty goods. This repair order type enables you to include the repairs for a
specific service product during order entry.
Search Function for Sales Orders
The search function for sales orders (object type SALES_ORDER) has been enhanced
using the NetWeaver Enterprise Search.
SAP® What's New? – Release Notes

You can also search for the following data at item level:
o Material (VBAP-MATNR)
o Material Description (VBAP-ARKTX)
o Item Category (VBAP-PSTYV)
o Plant (VBAP-WERKS)
o European Article Number (VBAP-EAN11)
Effects on Customizing
You make the Customizing settings for these functions in Customizing for Sales and
Distribution.
o Batch Recall
Several activities are required for client synchronization of the system settings.
For more information, see LOG_SD_CI_02: Client Synchronization for Batch Recall (Enhanced).
o Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)
Choose the activities under the entry Sales -> Sales Documents -> Business
Add-Ins (BAdIs).

LOG_SD_CI_02: Internal Sales Representative (Enhanced)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 605), business
function Sales and Distribution 02 (LOG_SD_CI_02), you can use additional
functions for the Internal Sales Representative role in the following areas:
o Configure User Interface for Sales
o Implement Business Logic
o Enhance and Customize Personal Worklists
Configure User Interface for Sales
The configurable user interface (UI) for Sales has been enhanced and is now easier to
use. These functions are grouped under Configurable Sales UI (Web Dynpro
application Lean Order: Sales Document, LO_OIF_MAIN_APP).
These enhancements allow optimal organization of your sales processes in the SAP
Enterprise Portal.
Processing Contracts
You can process the following contracts with the configurable sales UI:
o Quantity contracts You choose this contract type if the total quantity to be ordered within the
contract duration has been defined. The contract is considered fulfilled when an
agreed quantity has been reached as a result of contract release orders.
o Value contracts You choose this contract type if the total value of all contract release orders
should not exceed a certain amount. The contract is considered fulfilled when an
agreed value has been reached as a result of contract release orders.
Billing Plan at Item Level and Header Level
You can enter a date plan with billing data for individual items in a sales document.
Billing data that is relevant for all items can be entered at header level.
You define your billing process in Customizing for Sales and Distribution using the
billing plan type (item category and order type).
o Periodic billing allows you to bill the total value to be billed for each date
periodically.
o Milestone billing means that you distribute the total value to be billed among the
individual dates in the billing plan.
SAPscript Texts for Sales Document
You can activate the SAP Text Edit Control for processing formatted SAPscript texts
at header level and item level. You make this setting in Customizing for Sales and
Distribution under Activate Functions for Configurable User Interface.
Repair Order with Service Product
If customers bring faulty goods to be repaired, you use repair orders (sales document
SAP® What's New? – Release Notes

type RAS) to control the business processes for processing the faulty goods. This order
type enables you to include the repairs for a specific service product at item level
during order entry.
Improved Variant Configuration
In the configurable sales UI, you can configure the items for Sales straight from the
Item Overview. You access the Variant Configuration function in the Other
Functions toolbar. The Variant Configuration function opens a separate dialog box in
which you can carry out the following activities:
o Display Configuration Structure
o Re-expand Configuration Structure
o Mulitlevel Valuation of Configuration Characteristics
If you choose this function for the variant configuration, you do not need to do the
configuration under the detailed data for an item (Variant Configuration tab page).
Since we do not recommend using both configuration options at the same time, you
must in this case remove the Variant Configuration tab page from the configuration
editor.
Enhanced Material Search
In the configurable sales UI, you can search for and copy additional materials in the
Item Overview. You access the Material Search function in the Other Functions
toolbar.
o The material search is based on the indexed material of the Search Engine
Services SES (SES business object BUS1001006).
o You can enter a search term and/or other specific search criteria (such as the
material number) in a separate dialog box. You can choose a fuzzy search, exact
search, or linguistic search as the search type.
o The hit list contains the materials found with price data, and stock information for
your own plants and any other selectable plants.
- You can either copy the required materials and quantities straight to the
item overview, or you can collect them in the clipboard first and copy them
to the item overview once you have finished the search.
- You can use the BAdI Customize Results List for Material Search
(BADI_SLS_LO_OIF_SEARCH_MAT) to tailor the content of the hit list to
your sales process.
Implement Business Logic
The following functions enable you to implement your company-specific business logic
at the configurable sales UI level.
Configure Layout
In Customizing for Sales and Distribution, your IT administrator can tailor the user
interface specifically to your sales processes in the Configure User Interface activity.
In this enhancement package, the standard system provides additional, preconfigured
UI building blocks (UIBBs) that you can use as copy templates for company-specific
application configurations.
SAP® What's New? – Release Notes
Release Notes for Sales and Service SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Page 11 of 22
o You can also include the UI building blocks in your existing application
configuration for the configurable sales UI by placing them at the position you
want.
o Sales representatives can further refine the company-specific layout of the
application configuration with their own additional personalization settings, for
example, by hiding certain fields or resorting the columns in lists.
o There are several preconfigured UI building blocks available that you can tailor to
your company's needs by using Business Add-Ins (BAdIs).
Examples:
Form and list for billing plan header
Form for contracts (header and item)
Form and list for repair order (header and item)
Form for schedule lines
Form for contract data
List and line for credit cards
List of last sales
Document line in list of last sales
Enhancement Workbench
System administrators can use this workbench to declare customer-specific fields you
have already implemented in the SD back-end logic in the Lean Order API, and
integrate them in the sales process.
The customer-specific fields are available in the Configure User Interface activity in
the field catalog, for example, so that you can include your customer-specific fields in
the configurable sales UI.
You start the Enhancement Workbench in the IMG.
o You create or change the field properties for the customer-specific fields of a
sales document header or item. In this step, the system creates or changes a
TABU table entry within the LO API.
o You then publish these fields for the LO API. In this step, the system enhances
the append structure within the LO API.
The published fields are available via the LO API. The system displays the fields
and their properties that are available for the LO API in the Configure User
Interface activity.
Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)
You can use additional Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) to integrate your company-specific
business logic into standard order processing. These enhancement options are
grouped in the enhancement spot ES_BADI_SLS_LO_OIF (Configurable Sales UI).
For more information, see LOG_SD_CI_02: Enhancement Spot ES_BADI_SLS_LO_OIF (Enhanced).
Enhance and Customize Personal Worklists
Using additional Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) you can influence the personal worklists for
order processing as follows:
o You can enhance the methods of the feeder class, for example, by adding new
activities or selection criteria or modify existing ones.
o You can further develop the methods of the feeder enhancement class. You can
add dialog boxes, for example.
SAP® What's New? – Release Notes
Release Notes for Sales and Service SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Page 12 of 22
These enhancement options are grouped in the ES_BADI_O2C_POWL_FEEDER
enhancement spot (BAdI spot for O2C feeder classes). For the complete list of BAdIs,
see Customizing for Sales and Distribution under Portal Role "Internal Sales
Representative" -> Simplified User Interface for Order Processing -> Configure
User Interface.
Effects on Existing Data
There are no fundamental effects on the dataset.
Effects on Customizing
You make the Customizing settings for these functions in Customizing for Sales and
Distribution.
o You can configure the layout for the user interface. Choose the following activity
under the entry Portal Role "Internal Sales Representative" -> Simplified
User Interface for Order Processing:
- Configure User Interface
- Start Enhancement Workbench
- Activate Functions for Configurable User Interface
o You can use Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) to integrate your company-specific
business logic in the sales processes. Choose the activities under the entry
