Hello and welcome to our services. In the last week much of the world and the Church have been digesng Pope Francis' Environmental Encyclical Laudato Si ’[Praised Be]. With the theme of care for our common home’, Pope Francis amplifies the cry of the poor and the earth to everyone in the world. At 180 pages long it will take some reading but I commend it as relevant to all of us. The encyclical contains two pray- ers: one for Chrisan believers and one for all those who believe in a God who is creator. The full text can be read at: w2.vacan.va/content/francesco/en/encyclicals/index.html Today at St. Johns we will commission the team (Joya Davies, Megan Davies, Ian Carr, Su- zanne Snellex, Kathleen Garne and Andrew Allan-Johns) traveling to Manila 6-14 July to sup- port Dianne Bailey and the Childrens Bible Ministries. Please pray for us to prepare just the right things to say and give. Today we welcome The Rev. Ron Hay who will be preaching at St. Johns about mission to secular kiwis.
