TEXTILE INDUSTRY OF INDIA

O · Tamil Nadu, the second biggest cluster of powerloom with about 6 lakh looms.

· Major varieties of textiles being produced in the state- grey and yarn dyed fabrics for sarees, dhotis, lungies, towels, napkins, furnishings, industrial fabrics, medical textiles, towels, dress material, shirting etc.

· Coimbatore one of the most important cluster of Tamil Nadu for powerloom having one of the highest number of looms with modernized technology. In nearby areas like Erode as well as Madurai, a few thousand looms are also engaged in production of medical textiles like surgical / bandage cloth.

Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL) is set up by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. The main objectives of the PDEXCIL is to promote, support, develop, advance and increase powerlooms and export of powerloom fabrics and made-ups. Pdexcil organizes/participate in various international events for promotion of India's textile exports, connecting with the international market and development and expansion of powerloom industry within India.

on 27th, 28th, & 29th January 2019 Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL) for the promotion of export of textiles from India is organizing IND TEXPO” COIMBATORE 2019 at Codissia Trade Fair Complex, G.V. Fair grounds, Avinashi road, Coimbatore- 641014, Tamil Nadu, India, India on 27th, 28th, & 29th January 2019. The said event is guided and supported by the Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India. All type of yarns, fabrics, made-ups, home textiles and garments will be show-cased in the event and it is a good opportunity for the visiting Buyers/dealers to source their requirements of textiles under one roof. Indian Textile products are known for their quality with cost competiveness and thus the event ensures quality products on display. PDEXCIL will be providing economy class air fare and complimentary hotel accommodation during the event at Coimbatore and other logistic support to selected Buyers from abroad. The selection of appropriate textiles Importers/Buyers will be on the following criteria and as finalized by the Committee constituted for this purpose.

Only leading companies importing textile yarn, fabrics, denim, technical textiles, industrial fabrics, specialty fabrics, made-ups, home textiles and garments in large quantities are invited.

Only one representative of each company is eligible for economy class air fare and hotel accommodation.

The representative should be Owner/CEO/Director/Senior Manager as stated by the Director or owner or certified by the company.

While the Indian passport holders are welcome, above facilities/support is available only for foreign passport holders.

Once participation response form is received at PDEXCIL an intimation will be sent to selected Buyers through email and after re-confirmation from buyer’s side, the registration will be confirmed and further process will be initiated.
