1 GENERAL

This specification defines the minimum requirements, safety standards and rec-

ommendations for all types of passenger seats that may be used for installation

in Airbus A318 / A319 / A320 / A321.

For the A318 JAA type certification in addition the 16g seat frame specification

2520 M1F 0005 00 must be fulfilled.

Maximum number of passenger seats per A/C:

A318: 136 pax. (2 pairs of oversized type I exits called type C in this spec.) A319: 145 pax. (2 pairs of oversized type I exits called type C in this spec.) A319-2 OWE: 160 pax (2 pairs of oversized type I exits called type C in this spec.) A320: 180 pax. (2 pairs of oversized type I exits called type C in this spec.) A321: 220 pax. (4 pairs of oversized type I exits called type C in this spec.)

For installation of convertible seats the maximum number of passenger seats

shall apply to the configuration in which all converter seats are configured for

maximum occupancy.
