Release Information

1 Introduction

1.1 General

The purpose of this document is to define the contents delivered in MultiMediation 7.4 - File and event mediation. It includes changes of both productsand documents.

Contents of this delivery are:

1).TR Fixes

2).Sol X86 7.x -> 7.4 upgrade

3).Sol SPARC 7.x -> 7.4 upgrade

4).Sol SPARC 6.1 -> 7.4 upgrade

5).Dimensioning results on T4 hardware (excluding Mond dimensioning results)

1.2 Prerequisites

This ICP release of File and event Application can be updated or upgraded fromprevious release of MM7.<x> of File and event mediation product line.

Where, MM 7.<x> = MM 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 any ICP.

Customers that have a PC that is not included in neither , must not install thissoftware before an analysis have been made securing that it does not haveany impact on their PC.

2 Release Information

This section contains details of deliverable and new functionality applicable forthis release along with the maintenance content.

4 Implementation Instructions

4.1 Preparations

4.1.1 Prepare Implementation

Fetch the deliverable(s) listed in Section 3 on page 5. Use the documentChecksum validation via SW Gateway download for SW Gateway help.

All File and event mediation 7.4 software is available in SW Gateway.

Note: The software is included in a zipped file when downloading it from theSW Gateway. The zip file(s) will have the following name: "ProductNo."-"Rev".zip The zip file should be unzipped after it has beentransferred to the node server.

4.1.2 Verify the Software

Perform the following steps to verify the checksum of all the software packages

1. Login as root user.

2. Generate the MD5 checksum of the software by executing the followingcommand:

# digest -a md5 /tmp/<software package file>

The generated MD5 checksum must match with the checksum mentionedin Table 8
