1 After ironing sew all your

straps and the top of your

pocket

You will want to sew 316rdquo

from the edge on both sides

of each strap You will want

to do the same on the top of

your pocket but not the

bottom

2 Sew the pocket wrong side of pocket right side of bag Line the pocket up frac12rdquo form

the top of the notches made in the bottom of the bag Sew straight across the bottom

of the pocket

Then sew from the bottom of the pocket to

the top of the pocket to create smaller

pockets I usually sew 25rdquo from the centerSee the back of the bag on the next page

for an example Tack down sides at the

edge

3 Sew inside bag pieces right sides

together across the bottom as shown and

down the sides as shown on the next page

use a 38rdquo seam

making step Sew straight along edge as

shown with a 38rdquo seam

Do both notches be sure to line up the

seams of the bottom and side

5 Cut the skinny frac12rdquo strap into 4 equal

pieces 4rdquo long With each strap fold the

ends down and pin carefully as shown

below

6 Now take the outside bag piece and measure 3rdquo

down from the top and 4rdquo in from each side and mark a

placement line The picture to the left shows a light bluechalk mark This is the ldquobelt looprdquo that will hold up your

sash

You will put two on each side of the bag

7 After applying belt loops sew outside bag with the

same method as the inside bag that you have already

completed

9 Align the end if each strap over directly

over the belt loops and pin down To

secure your straps to your bag tack down

the strap 316rdquo from the edge as shown

with a triple stitch

Fold the top of your bag down 1rdquo over your

interfacing all the way around and press

10 Place interior bag down inside the exterior

bag and push it all the way into the bottom and

push the corners into their respective places in

the bottom of the bag

up your edges neatly If you are going to

apply a closure do so now I put in a

magnetic snap according the directions

that were included with the snap

12 Now sew all the way around the top of

your bag pull your pins out as you go sothey donrsquot get caught or poke you

hellipand you are done with your bag

Now letrsquos make your sash

13 Fold your sash fabric long ways and begin sewing at one end on the fold edge sew

a diagonal stitch line to the edge of your Sew to the half way point of your sash and

leave a 2 to 3 inch opening Finish sewing to the other end of the sash and complete
