The Park at Trowbridge - 24111 Civic Center Drive, Southfield MI 48033 www.pvm.org

Dear Friends,

August is off to a fantastic start as our first renovations began in the dining

room on July 26th. We look forward to moving back into the magnificent

dining room towards the end of the month. We appreciate your cooperation

as we temporarily serve all three meals in the atrium/lobby. They speak of

the lazy hazy days of summer, well at The Park at Trowbridge, our summer

days are anything but lazy. We hope you will sign up to join us as we travel

to the Detroit Public Library for a discussion with April Ryan, to see the new

highly acclaimed movie “Detroit” at the Maple, the Memories of Survival

exhibit at the Charach Gallery/JCC, a tour of the Edsel Ford House, Ray’s Ice

Cream, bowling at Plum Hollow and more… We have musical entertainment

to suit all tastes from Yana the Bayanist to Ben Opengeym and the Boogie

Woogie Kid-Matthew Ball. Remember to join our exercise classes 6 days a

week- tai chi, yoga and chair exercises. Our gardeners have been busy both

inside and outside. Soon dining services will incorporate our herbs and

veggies. Our talented knitters/crocheters continue to make beautiful hats

and scarves to be donated to those in need. Perhaps this is the month to try

something new!

July was full of activity as dining services kicked of the 4th of July with a lip

smacking bbq dinner, we enjoyed refreshing watermelon treats at Chef

Sarah’s Food Demo, made yummy chocolate covered pretzel treats, took a

relaxing boat ride on Kensington’s Island Queen, bet on our favorite ponies

at the Hazel Park Race Course and enjoyed the famous fried chicken and

other delectable dishes at Zenders Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth followed

by a tour of the St. Julian’s Winery and so much more…

We’ve been busy in the office signing new leases; we will meet with every

resident by the end of September. You will receive a letter notifying you of

the lease signing date and time and the amount of your new rent. Please

continue to pay your current rent for the month of August. We appreciated

your cooperation as all apartment locks were changed during the month of

July. Should you like to order additional keys, please stop at the reception

desk.

The Trowbridge Team appreciates and welcomes your questions and

suggestions and we thank you for your kindness, support and participation.

With Warm Regards,

Rochelle Upfal, Executive Director

The hallways are NOT an extension of

your apartment. Please help us keep the

hallways tidy and free from hazards.

Shopping carts, FedEx and UPS boxes,

assistive devices, trash etc. may NEVER

be kept in the hallways. We have

shopping carts that you may borrow for

your convenience. They must be

returned as soon as you’ve brought

items into your apartment. Effective

immediately, items found in the hallways

will be disposed of. The reception desk

will accept delivery of your packages for

your pick up. If you choose to have

FedEx, UPS or any delivery service

deliver to your door, you MUST be home

to accept delivery. We appreciate your

prompt attention to this matter.

Activities and Programs Reminder

Due to renovations, we appreciate your patience and

understanding with the temporary change of program

locations throughout the building. Pay special attention to

your August Calendar and daily postings for updates.

Please direct to Haylee or Kiara. Thank you.

Toilet Overflows

We need your help! Too many toilets

have been overflowing creating a

tremendous mess and damage and loss of

property and work. Wipes may NEVER

be flushed down the toilet. Excess toilet

paper may NEVER be flushed down the

toilet. Paper towel may NEVER be

flushed down the toilet. You are

responsible if your toilet overflows.

Please help us to help you and your

neighbors. Please be mindful of what you

flush and remain in the bathroom to be

sure that the toilet flushes properly. If it

either looks like it is going to overflow or

starts to overflow and you are able,

please shut off the water with the shut off

valve. If you are unable to do so, please

call the office IMMEDIATELY. We

appreciate your immediate cooperation

in solving this problem.
