1.1.1 System Functional Description and Design Criteria

The function of the natural gas supply system is to supply natural gas ofthe required quantity, pressure and temperature and quality to the gasturbines and auxiliaries.Natural gas shall be the main fuel for the gas turbines and hot water boilers.At Ardebil power plant the main reducing station is exist. The natural gassystem shall be designed in accordance with NFPA.

1.1.2 Distribution

Main system:

For new 2 GT units the main line is connected to the existing main gasreducing station outlet flange and conveyed to the gas turbine skids.

Auxiliary system:

For new HVAC building a pipe line with DN40 is branched off fromexisting outlet header of gas reducing station.

1.1.3 Nitrogen purging

Sufficient permanently installed valve connections and vents shall beprovided to permit the gas system to be purged with inert gas. The locationand quantity shall be in accordance with the start up, shutdown andmaintenance of unit.
