Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, established in
1966 by the leading personalities like Prof. M.L. Schroff, Prof.
G.P. Srivastava and other pharmacy colleagues of those days, is an
organization whose heart beats for the pharmacy profession. The
Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India is the national association of
pharmacy teachers and is in official relations with the Indian Pharmaceutical
Congress Association (IPCA). Through its 10,000 members, APTI represents
and serves more than 400,000 students and Research Scholars around the
country every year. Recognizing this fact, APTI has developed a new Vision,
Mission and Strategic Plan with the goal of firmly integrating the association
to strengten its activities for the advancement and development of teaching
community. Indian Journal of Pharmacy Practice (IJOPP), Indian Pharmaceutical Education and
Research(IJPER) and APTI bulletin are the key publications of APTI. APTI has been holding its Annual
National Convention every year across the country to bring together all its members and experts to
share their views, plan for better future and to discuss various issues for the improvement of pharmacy
education and eventually the community. The association in its efforts to encourage the promotion of
excellence and practice of pharmacy recognizes the outstanding contribution among its life members
and honor them with various awards during the APTI Convention and IPC every year. APTI is proud of
the fact that many of the goals have already been reached and the efforts of the association have been
highly appreciated by all the stake holders.
On behalf of APTI Rajasthan State Branch, we extend a hearty welcome to all teacher colleagues
to participate in the APTI convention at Swami Keshvanand Institute Of Pharmacy, Ramnagaria,

We are pleased to announce that Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) is organizing its 23rd Annual National Convention in Jaipur during 5th -6th October 2018. The theme of the Convention (APTICON 2018) is “INNOVATION TEACHING AND LEARNING STRATEGIES IN PHARMACY-
REQUIREMENTS & BARRIERS”.
The convention will focus on all components of pharmacy education, including innovative teaching and learning strategies, skill development, assessment of educational outcomes, practical tips from seasoned educators and successful approaches to implementation of curriculum revision, as well as topics on attitudes. As pharmacist plays a pivotal role in providing pharmaceutical care services and primary health care, so revival of the pharmacy education in India is the need of the hour which in turn will pave the way for the upgradation of the pharmacy profession in the country.
The annual national convention provides an ideal platform for personal and professional grooming, as it brings pharmacy fraternity viz students, researchers, industrial experts and teachers together thus enabling them to discuss, deliberate and invigorate the current issues of education, research and pharmacy profession.
With all your support and cooperation the local organizing committee is confident about the grand success and on TEAM concept that is “Together Everybody Achieves Maximum” we will make this convention a memorable one. Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan in Northern India. It was founded on 18 November 1727 by Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber after whom the city is named. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City, due to the dominant color scheme of its buildings. It is located 280 km from the Indian capital New Delhi. Jaipur is a popular tourist destination in India and forms a part of the west Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Agra (240 km). It also serves as a gateway to other tourist destinations in Rajasthan such as Jodhpur (348 km), Jaisalmer (571 km) Udaipur (421 km) and Mount Abu (520 km). Jaipur is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Jantar-Mantar and the Amber Fort and its forts and monuments such as Hawa-Mahal, City Palace, Nahargarh fort, Jaigarh fort, Albert Hall and Jal Mahal are famous world wide. AlwarFor those who love Mughal architecture, ancient forts, and ruins, there is noth-ing that beats Alwar. Undoubtedly, Alwar is one of best places to visit near Jaipur. Whether it is a mysterious fort that tells you stories of the gone time, vintage forts, or sparkling lake for boating and relaxing. The park is located about 138 km from Jaipur.
Mount AbuSituated amidst lush green, forested hills on the highest peak in the Aravali range, Mount Abu is the summer capital for the Indian state of Rajasthan. Its cool and soothing climate makes it an ideal retreat. It is located about 506 km from Jaipur. Explore a number of Jain tem-ples, including the Dilwara Temples, a complex carved of white marble.
NathdwaraNathdwara is a town in India’s western state of Rajasthan. It is located in the Aravalli hills, on the banks of the Banas River in Rajsamand District, It is located about 362 km from Jaipur.This town is fa-mous for its temple of Krishna which hous-es the deity of Shrinathji, a 14th-century, 7-year-old infant incarnation of Krishna.
Bhangarh fortSituated on the border of Sariska Tiger Reserve in the Aravali range, Bhangarh Fort was built by Madho Singh in 1613. This 17th century fort in the Alwar District of Rajasthan is often associated with horror stories. Ghost and spirits are rumoured to roam in Bhangarh Fort. It is located about 100 km from Jaipur.
Taj Mahal - AgraThe magical allure of the Taj Mahal draws tourists to Agra like moths to a wondrous flame. The legacy of the Mu-ghal empire has left a magnificent fort and a liberal sprinkling of fascinating tombs and mausoleums. Agra straddles a large bend along the holy Yamuna River. It is located about 265 km from Jaipur.
Ranthambor National ParkOne of the biggest and most renowned national park in Northern India. The park is located about 130 km from Jaipur. Be-ing considered as one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today it is major wildlife tourist attraction spot that has pulled the atten-tion of many wildlife photographers and lovers.
UdaipurThe heritage city of Udaipur has been ranked third among a list of 15 best cit-ies in the world. Known as both the City of Lakes and the Venice of the East, Udaipur occupies a stunning location on the banks of Lake Pichola in south Rajasthan. It is located about 400 km from Jaipur.
PushkarThe city of Pushkar is home to the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the whole world. Pushkar is one of the old-est cities in India. Pushkar is surrounded by hillocks on three sides. The Nag Pahar, literally meaning Snake Mountain forms a natural border between Ajmer and Pushkar. It is located about 161 km from Jaipur.
Khawaja Saheb - AjmerThe city of Ajmer gets its name from Ajay Meru. Nestled in the Aravallis south west of Jaipur, The Mughals in particular, fan-cied it as their favourite destination due to the presence of the holy Ajmer Sharif Dar-gah the Tomb of Garib Nawaz, also known as Moinuddin Chisti. It is located about 153 km from Jaipur.
TonkIt is one of the best places to visit near Jaipur. Known as Lucknow of Rajasthan, Tonk packed with old mansions and mosques, and Sunheri Kothi or Mansion of Gold is the showstopper.
