OTHER MEETINGS THIS WEEK

Last Week’s Service… Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship.”

Quote: “The tithe is a good base; we should give more as God blesses us. The whole tithe is to go to the church: Anything beyond that constitutes an offering. Besides money, tithing can also involve our lives - time, energy and talents.”

Our Response: “Father, thank You for the supreme gift of Your

Son, and for material blessings. We pray for grace to recognize that You own everything, and to be good stewards of what You have given us. Please guide us in this respect: Let us know what You want us to give away in order to maintain a love relationship with You. Let us bear in mind that it is not the amount that matters - You look into our hearts. We pray for grace to not be so attached to our possessions that we hesitate to let go when You ask us to do so.”

Cheer Gifts… With thanks to God, to date

we have received $167,153.60 for the Cheer Gift.

The Cheer Gift offerings will continue to be received today. May we prayerfully & faithfully set aside this gift, to be put in envelopes provided marked “Cheer Gift Offering”, and placed in any of the offering bags. Envelopes available at the Hall entrance.

Next Pulpit Series: “Living in the Divine” - Study of 2 Peter Thinking of new year resolutions? It’s time to go for the long haul in 2014 with help from the short book of 2 Peter. As the Word went forth in song, scripture and sermon, it will surely not return empty but accomplish what He desires (Isa 55:11)!
