SET THE TABLE Decide what you want, clarity is essential. Write
your goals and objectives before you begin.
PLAN EVERYDAY IN ADVANCE Think on paper. Every minute you spend on
planning can save 5 or 10 minutes in execution.
APPLY 80/20 RULE
Concentrate on the top 20% activities
which will account for 80% of your results.
CONSIDER THE CONSEQUENCES Focus on important tasks and prioritize on the
basis of the seriousness of related consequences.
PRACTICE ABCDE METHOD

to be sure on working on important tasks first.
FOCUS ON KEY RESULT AREAS Identify, determine and focus on those results that you have to achieve to do your job well.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK the more knowledgeable and skilled you become at your key tasks, faster you start them and sooner you get them done.
PUT THE PRESSURE ON YOURSELF Work as if you have to complete a month worth of important tasks before you left for a month long vacation.
THE LAW OF FORCED EFFICIENCY There is never enough time to do everything, but
enough time to do the most important things. Focus on those important things.
MOTIVATE YOURSELF Focus on the solution rather than the problem by staying optimistic and constructive.
SLICE AND DICE THE TASK
Break large, complex tasks down into bite sized
pieces and then finish then one by one.
MAXIMIZE PERSONAL POWERS
Identify your highest mental and physical energy
periods of the day and align your most
important and demanding tasks around this time.
PRACTICE CREATIVE
PROCRASTINATION
Learn to put off low value tasks so you have
enough time to do the things that really count.
DO THE MOST DIFFICULT TASK
FIRST Begin each day with the most difficult task which can make the greatest contribution to your work.
PREPARE BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Proper prior preparation prevents poor results.
IDENTIFY YOUR KEY CONSTRAINTS Determine your internal or external constraints to achieve your most important goals and focus on alleviating them.
CREATE LARGE CHUNKS OF TIME Find large blocks of time per day where you can focus and concentrate for extended periods on the most important tasks.
SINGLE HANDLE EVERY TASK Set clear priorities, start with the most important task and stop only when it is complete for high performance and maximum personal productivity.
DEVELOP A SENSE OF URGENCY
Make a habit of moving fast on your key
tasks, doing them quickly and well.
LEVERAGE ON YOUR TALENTS Determine what you do well and put all your
efforts in doing those specific things very well.
TAKE IT ONE BARREL AT A TIME
Even the biggest or most complicated job can be
accomplished, if you just take one step at a time.
