the Fort Night for Freedom and the intention of Religious Liberty .

Communion: If you are on a gluten free diet please contact Father

This past December, the U.S. Bishops announced that they would be promoting another Fortnight for Freedom June 21 – July 4, 2013.

During this two-week period will be a time for prayer and action, to address many current challenges to religious liberty, including the August 1, 2013 deadline for religious organizations to comply with the HHS mandate, Supreme Court rulings that could attempt to redefine marriage in June, and religious liberty concerns in areas such as immigration and humanitarian services.

On Saturday, June 22nd, we will celebrate the opening of Fortnight for Freedom with the morning Mass at 8 AM on the Feast days of St. Thomas More and John Fisher.

On Sunday June 23, from 7:00 PM – 8: 00 PM our parish will have a Holy Hour as a way to for us to participate in the National Fortnight for Freedom. During this week

Upcoming silent retreats include: August 8-11–for men, directed by Fr Tim Hoag, October 3-6 – for adults, directed by Fr Rick Abert, SJ December 12-15 – for women, directed by Susan Safford

St. Joseph School: The 2012/2013 school year is winding down and preparation for the 2013/2014 school year is underway. Presently, St. Joseph School will offer 2 sections each of kindergarten through fourth grade. This means class size will average about 15 students. Research shows that small class is one of the greatest benefits in ensuring academic success. This, combined with a very strong faith environment, ensures that every child will become all God expects them to be. Tuition will be about $170.00 a month. Please consider enrolling your child, you will not regret it!

Mass of Initiation: David Hand will be brought in to the Catholic Faith through the waters of Baptism, Oil of Confirmation and the Bread and Wine of First Eucharist. David comes into the church Wednesday, June 19th at 5:30 pm Mass as part of their 44th marriage anniversary. People are welcome to come and join in this Mass of Initiation into the Catholic Faith.

Prayer for Religious Liberty

Almighty God, Father of all nations, for freedom you have set us free in Christ Jesus (Gal 5:1).

We praise and bless you for the gift of religious liberty, the foundation of human rights, justice and the common good.

Grant to our leaders the wisdom to protect and promote our liberties.

By your grace may we have the courage to defend them, for ourselves and for all those who live in this blessed land.

We ask this through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, our patroness, and in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, with whom you live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
