Welcome to the Sisters Arts Association’s Fifth Annual Artist Studio Tour. Studios are open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26, from 10 am to 4 pm. This is a free self-guided tour.

Masking and all other Oregon state safety recommendations in effect at the time of the tour will apply. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. Artists may be set up for outdoor demonstrations, but masks will still be required. Artists may also limit the number of indoor visitors.

This year, 35 artists are participating in 25 studio locations in and around Sisters, including Tumalo and Eagle Crest. Some studios feature more than one artist, so visitors can meet more of our local talent.

These artists represent some of the best in art, design, creativity, and fabrication in this area. Most rely on sales of art, so this event is a win-win; not only do the artists retain 100 percent of the proceeds, but they may also present special one-time only sales.

Our artists look forward to meeting you. This guide will help you learn about them and find their studios. Use your GPS and watch for the blue-and-white roadside signs with red arrows, directing the way. Relax, wear comfortable shoes, and pay attention to the weather – a sweater or jacket and a hat may be needed as temperatures can change quickly.

Some studios are modern and spacious and others are intimate, rustic, or quirky. Some even incorporate teaching space. Be prepared for an adventure. Ask the artists what they do, how they do it, and what inspires them. And, by all means, support them by purchasing their work.

As you visit with each artist, sign up for the Quick Draw (raffle). A drawing for two $100 gift certificates (to be redeemed at any artist’s studio) will be held after the tour. Winners will be notified by phone and email. Please fill out each ticket completely – one ticket per artist. About the Sisters Arts Association The Sisters Arts Association was formed in 2015 by a group of volunteers, artists, and others who believe that the arts are an important part of a healthy community, culture and commerce. SAA sponsors monthly Art Walks through the galleries of Sisters, advocates for public art, art education, and community support of the arts. You don’t have to be an artist to join. From there you can click on the link for the “2021 Artist Studio Tour.” From there click on any artist’s name and you will see their page. It is a great way learn about artists before you start the tour.

Artists’ studios are not generally open to the public during the year. However, you can see work by these artists and many others by visiting the many galleries in Sisters any day of the week. Pick up a Gallery Map at any one of the locations below. COVID-19 Public Health Standards, including masks, hand sanitizing and six foot distancing, are observed in all galleries. How The Maps WorkNumbers and names go together. Just locate the number in the red block opposite the artist’s name.

Then find the number on the area map that corresponds to the artist. That will give you a general idea about how to navagate to the artist’s studio. If you plan to visit several studios, you can use the maps to plan a route that connects the studios in the most effecient manner possible.

Studio addresses are on the page that features the artist you want to visit. If you are not familiar with the area, just set your GPS to the address and head to the studio. Watch for the road signs to help you get to your destinations.
