YARD WASTE PICK-UP

Plants and flowers, landscape vegetation, vegetative garden waste,

windfall fruit.

CURBSIDE FOOD/YARD WASTECURBSIDE RECYCLING - PLASTIC, PAPER, CARDBOARD, ALUMINUM AND TIN CANS

Coffee grounds and filters, tea bags, waxed cardboard, soiled paper bags, kitchen paper towels, paper napkins, non-coated paper plates, and loose shredded paper.

• $1 per large black bag or garbage can of yard waste

• $12 per yard of yard waste if brought in by the truck load

• $10.00 per yard for concrete

• We do not take: Treated or painted lumber, rocks, stumps with dirt

If you are currently a City of Sedro-Woolley resident and pay for garbage service, the following rates apply:

• We can accept: Grass, leaves, brush, branches, sod & dirt (Christmas trees, pumpkins are free)

Other City services include: Bulky items pick up, such as couches, chairs, mattresses, building materials & appliances. You must call to arrange these services or for drop off.

Meat, fish, dairy, fruit, vegetables, shells, bones, pasta, rice, eggshells,

nutshells, bread, grains and leftovers.

Our site only accepts loose, separated recycling (not bagged), and includes the following:

Examples of Household Hazardous Waste Accepted: Oven cleaners, oil paints, stains, varnishes, solvents, drain cleaners, paint thinners, paint strippers, toilet bowl cleaners, metal polish, shoe polish, spot removers, antifreeze, air fresheners, aerosol sprays, mothballs and crystals, roach and flea killer, rodent killer, ant poison, wasp poison, snail and slug bait, insecticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, photographic chemicals, chemistry set chemicals, fertilizers with pesticide or herbicide, fertilizer, brake fluid, transmission fluid, disinfectants.

HAZARDOUS WASTE

Recycling Drop Off Station is located at 1675 3rd Street Monday - Friday, 7 am - 2 pm

• Aluminum food and beverage containers – clean empty and dry

• Glass food and beverage containers – brown, clear or green – empty

• Ferrous (Iron) cans – empty

• Newsprint, old corrugated containers

• Magazines, glossy inserts and pamphlets

• Bottles and jugs only

• Catalogs, cereal boxes, detergent, gift and snack boxes

• Telephone books, printer paper, copier paper, mail

• All other office paper without wax liners

Other accepted items at the recycling site include: All electronics, florescent light bulbs, motor oil and batteries
