Disso Research Presentations India2021 - Online
Society for Pharmaceutical Dissolution Science (SPDS)
SPDS was formed in 2012 with an objective of promoting the science and technological developments in the ever-evolving area of dissolution. The Society has National and International stalwarts and experts from academia, industry and regulatory as its members. Its purpose is to disseminate knowledge about this technical field, and to familiarize the advances in dissolution science among all types of pharmaceutical professionals.
SPDS is the only professional body dedicated to dissolution science and its applications.
Assocciation of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI)
APTI was founded by pioneers of pharmacy education in India. It has come a long way in creating better inter-communication and promotion of excellence in pharmacy education. The organization has provided a single platform in bringing together teachers of pharmacy from all over the country, and helped in the achievement of excellent standards and development of new teaching and training methods in pharmacy education through the exchange of views.
Disso Research Presentations India (DRPI)
To meet with its objectives, SPDS organizes dissolution themed annual conferences, DISSO India. For the first time last year, owing to the pandemic, DISSO India was held online with plenary lectures from worldwide experts. The overwhelming success of DISSO India 2020 led to the organization of DISSO America 2020 Online, an event by SPDS American chapter and co-sponsored by the American Assocciation of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).
As research presentations could not be included as a part of the main event, a special programme ‘Dissolution Research Presentations India 2020 – Online (DRPI 2020 - Online)’ was held as a premier and pan India competition for young researchers across academia as well as industry. Besides being the first indigenous online research competition for pharma fraternity, a key highlight of the event was the joining of hands by SPDS with APTI, as co-hosts for the competition.
The focus of DRPI 2020 - Online was to showcase at one forum, novel dissolution related research being carried out by faculty and students, and by industry experts across India. It was a huge opportunity for encouragement and due recognition for the achievers. The competition last year was held among various regions of India (North, South, East-Central and West), with each Zone pushing forward best talent and innovation, coupled with an unbiased and totally anonymized evaluation process.
And now, it is time for the second DRPI event in the online mode, i.e., DRPI 2021 - Online.
