Our Concrete Vibratory Drive Units are connected and Vibratory Pokers release air

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TRASH PUMP AND A SEMI TRASH PUMP?

5.3 Semi Trash & Trash Pumps

A trash pump can remove water that’s filled with a lot more waste, including solids up

to 25mm in size. If the debris in the water is large, like sticks and stones, you will need a

trash pump to pump the water. The vanes on a trash pump are thicker and open so that

the pump can handle much sandier, dirtier, debris-filled water.

A semi trash pump is very similar to a trash pump with thick impeller vanes and a large

opening to allow dirt and debris to travel through it, however a semi trash pump is

MAINTAIN YOUR ENGINE TO LENGTHEN ITS LIFE

Like any piece of equipment, engines need to be maintained to stay in top condition.

Here are some tips for maintaining your engine:

• Check your oil regularly. If you are running your engine non-stop, you may need

to check oil as often as every 5 hours. (Rato Engines are fitted with a low-level

oil sensor which will cut the engine off when the oil level drops too low)

• Change oil when the engine is still warm. Make sure you use good quality oil.

(Multi-Grade Oil is recommended)

• Check the oil filter and air box and make sure they are clean. Clear any debris

away from the carburetor intake.

• If you’re not using the engine, drain the fuel and run the carburetor dry.

• When refueling the engine, make sure the engine is cool, and that your refueling

area is well ventilated. Do not re-fuel the engine, when it is running as it can be

a fire hazard.

Oil is the life blood of your engine, so make sure you have enough oil at all times. Oil

provides the lubrication needed to keep your engine going. Check the oil after every

5 hours of continuous running or once a day. Change the oil when the engine is still

warm. Make sure you use a high-quality oil. The Rato Range of Engines feature a low

oil level cut off switch which stops the engine when the oil level is too low.

Clean out the air filter regularly. Check it for dirt or debris and change it if necessary,

when not in use, also run the carb. Dry before storing the engine.

engines can be used as replacement engines in Honda Rammers.

Our Rato Petrol engines range from 7 to 23 Horse Power. These engines are known

iron cylinder liner which helps to reduce oil consumption. We also stock Rato Petrol

lawnmower engines. Our Engines used for compaction or Cutting applications come

• Pumps – the Ruby TR22 Piston pump delivers 22L/min and has a max

pressure of 40BAR. The Ruby TR60 Piston pump delivers 60L/min and has

a max pressure of 40BAR. Both include an automatic unloader valve which

regulates pressure and has stainless steel pistons and acid resistant seals.

• Adjustable nozzle types include a 1 x 20m high-pressure hose which is

provided on a hose reel. Our pistol type variable spray gun can be adjusted

from fog spray to solid stream.

All our units are mounted on anti-vibration rubbers. We also offer a 12-month warranty

on all manufactured parts (Ts and Cs apply).
