2021 Blazers Last Chance Meet ▪︎ Warm Up Schedule & Lane Assignments

Athletes should arrive no earlier than 15 mins prior to their scheduled warm-up session. Scheduled warm-up times are firm and we will not have access outside of the times listed.

Friday PM - Distance Session Meet Start: 5:00 PM Warm-up: 4:20 - 4:50 PM South Pool (Competition pool)

Lanes 1-8: Kansas City Blazers Warm-up: 4:25 - 4:55 PM North Pool (Diving Well)

Lanes 1 - 2: Wichita Swim Club Lane 3 - 4: Columbia Swim Club Lanes 5 - 6: COOL Swim Team

Lanes 7 - 8: Lifetime Lane 9 - 10: WAS & TRI Lanes 11 - 12: Kansas City Blazers

MEET PROCEDURES

Note: Kansas City Blazers reserves the right to modify any of these guidelines as needed to comply with local and federal Health Department guidelines or facility guidelines.

Pre-Meet Precautions

• All swimmers, volunteers & coaches are expected to arrive healthy. Those with symptoms of illness are expected to stay home. This will be communicated to coaches and families.

• Swimmers will arrive in their swimsuits and ready for competition. • There will be social distancing in the lanes while warming up.

Arriving at the Facility

● Please do not have your swimmers arrive more than 15 minutes before their scheduled Warm-Up session.

● If you are dropping off your swimmer, please use Elmridge st. ● Swimmers, coaches, officials and volunteers must wear masks when entering the facility and at all

times when not in the water. ● Upon arrival, All swimmers, coaches & volunteers will have their temperature taken, sign in with

contact information. If you are or have been ill or have experienced any COVID symptoms, stay home.

General Meet Procedures

● There will be a limit of 80 swimmers, 7 officials, 7 coaches, 9 timers 7 other volunteers (110 total) per session.

● Masks will be required for coaches, volunteers and officials while in the building. ● All swimmers & volunteers will follow established facility entry and exit procedures. ● Swimmers will place their belongings in the appropriate crash area together. ● Social distancing is required in this space. ● The pool will be cleared between each session. ● High touch points on the pool deck and restrooms will be sanitized on a regular basis. ● Hand sanitizer will be available for swimmers, coaches & volunteers. ● There will be no refund of entry fees for any reason, including but not limited to weather, illness or

facility closure. ● There will not be spectators admitted to the facility, however the facility will not be closed to any

parent or guardian who needs immediate access to their child. The pool deck is closed per USA swimming MAAPP and Safesport guidelines.

General Meet Procedures (Continued from page 3)

● There are no spectators in the facility, a live stream of the event will be provided online through KCBlazers.com>>KCB Hosted Meets Page.

● Swimmers will be placed in heats by the clerk of course in the bull pen and then move in a clockwise fashion around the pool.

● Swimmers should bring their own snacks and water bottles. The sessions are short so they should not need a huge amount. However there should be no sharing of food or drink.

Swimmers

• All swimmers will have their temperature taken and be checked in at the entry point. • Swimmers must crash in designated areas using social distancing. • Swimmers should not arrive at the facility more than 15 minutes before their scheduled warm

up. • Swimmers may only stay for the session in which they are swimming. • Swimmers will report to the Clerk of the Course when their event is called. They will social

distance while lined up. • Swimmers will wear masks until they are in line behind the blocks. There will be a place to

keep masks while swimming. • No deck entries will be permitted.

Cool Down Pool

• There will be a cool down only pool available. Swimmers will be allocated lanes from their race lanes and will have 6 mins from the conclusion of their race to complete their cool down. Cool down lanes are limited to 4 swimmers per lane.

• Any swimmers hanging on the wall and not using the cool down lanes for cooling down will be asked to exit the pool.

Leaving the Facility

• Once finished with their events swimmers should exit the facility. • Swimmers should be picked up on Elmridge st. • Please keep your mask on until you have entered your vehicle.
