She continued investigating her curiosities in the duality between dancer and choreo- grapher while working on her BFA at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance under mentor- ship of William Forsythe, Jodie Gates, d’Sabela Grimes and Bret Easterling. Hybridity within dance styles, musicality, and artistic expression continue to greatly influence her desire to create in order to further understand human connection. Upon gradua- ting in May of 2020, Alyssa produced a social distanced performance for the Yuma community titled “A Different Light”. She continues to be motivated by the social impact that dance initiates through visualization, embodiment, and discussion between diverse lived experiences. She attended Regional Dance America/Pacific (now Ballet Alliance) from the years 2005- 2010 as an honor student. In 2010, she attended Atlanta Ballet’s summer intensive on a full scholarship. She received awards at Youth America Grand Prix where she was placed in the Top Twelve in the contem- porary division. In 2009, she joined Utah Metropolitan Ballet, formerly known as Utah Regional Ballet, where she has performed soloist roles in choreography by Jacqueline Colledge including Tiger Lily in Peter Pan, Bright Eyes in The Legend of Timpanogos, and Waltz of the Flowers Soloist in Nutcracker. She has also performed soloist roles in Heather Gray’s Poetic Motion and Other Side of the Door, Brittnee Squires’ Blink, Russian Girl Soloist in George Balanchine’s Serenade and Jumping Girl in George Balanchine’s Who Cares. Ariel earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Ballet Emphasis, from Utah Valley University in 2014 where she also received the Award of Merit in Ballet. Ariel also enjoys choreographing with her works receiving awards at Youth America Grand Prix and Utah Metropolitan Ballet's Chore- ography Design Competition, as well as being invited to perform at Ballet Alliance Festivals and at Young Tanzsommer in Europe. HEATHER GRAY Heather Gray began her early training with Jacqueline’s School of Ballet under the direction of Jacqueline Colledge. She studied on full scholar- ship at The San Francisco Ballet School. She performed many roles with San Francisco Balletin produc- tions such as; Romeo and Juliet, Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. In 1993 Heather joined Het National Ballet in Amsterdam, Holland. During her professional career she worked with artists such as; Hans Van Mannen, William Forsythe, and Rudi van Danzig. She performed Principal and Soloist roles in both contemporary and classical repertoire including: Giselle, Swan Lake and La Bayadere. She also performed a wide range of Balanchine works such as Serenade (Dark Angel),Violin Concerto (Principal Pas de deux), Symphony in C, Diamonds and Kammermuziek. Heather joined Ballet West as a Soloist in 1998, under direction of Jonas Kage, dancing Principal roles. One of the highlights of her career was dancing in Wiliam Forsythes, Artifact. Following her retirement from dancing, Heather found a passion for choreography. She has choreographed works for many companies across the United States. Her most recent projects include; Ballet West II, Long Beach Ballet, the Utah Valley University Ballet and Modern Dance department as well as the University of Utah Ballet department. In 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, her works won high Honors at the Regional Dance America Festival, and have been selected for the National Choreographic Plan. Heather has also been selected as an outstanding choreographer for the Youth America Grand Prix Ballet com- petitions in 2009 and 2010 and 2012. Heather taught at Utah Valley University where she directed the student company, Repertory Ballet Ensemble. She is currently Ballet Mistress for Utah Metropolitan Ballet and Co-Director of Utah Metropolitan Ballet II, the pre-professional company of Utah Metropolitan Ballet. Ariel Wright began training at Jacqueline's School of Ballet at the age of six under the direction of Jacqueline Colledge, Heather Gray, and Brittnee Squires. She attended Regional Dance America/Pacific (now Ballet Alliance) from the years 2005-2010 as an honor student. In 2010, she attended Atlanta Ballet’s summer intensive on a full scholarship. She received awards at Youth America Grand Prix where she was placed in the Top Twelve in the contem-porary division. In 2009, she joined Utah Metropolitan Ballet,

formerly known as Utah Regional Ballet, where she has performed soloist roles in choreography by Jacqueline Colledge including Tiger Lily in Peter Pan, Bright Eyes in The Legend of Timpanogos, and Waltz of the Flowers Soloist in Nutcracker. She has also performed soloist roles in Heather Gray’s Poetic Motion and Other Side of the Door, Brittnee Squires’ Blink, Russian Girl Soloist in George Balanchine’s Serenade and Jumping Girl in George Balanchine’s Who Cares. Ariel earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Ballet Emphasis, from Utah Valley University in 2014 where she also received the Award of Merit in Ballet. Ariel also enjoys choreographing with her works receiving awards at Youth America Grand Prix and Utah Metropolitan Ballet's Chore-ography Design Competition, as well as being invited to perform at Ballet Alliance Festivals and at Young Tanzsommer in Europe.

HEATHER GRAY

Heather Gray began her early training with Jacqueline’s School of Ballet under the direction of Jacqueline Colledge. She studied on full scholar-ship at The San Francisco Ballet School. She performed many roles with San Francisco Balletin produc-tions such as; Romeo and Juliet, Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. In 1993 Heather joined Het National Ballet in Amsterdam, Holland. During her professional career she worked with artists such as; Hans Van Mannen, William Forsythe, and Rudi van Danzig. She performed Principal and Soloist roles in both contemporary and classical repertoire including: Giselle, Swan Lake and La Bayadere.

She also performed a wide range of Balanchine works such as Serenade (Dark Angel),Violin Concerto (Principal Pas de deux), Symphony in C, Diamonds and Kammermuziek. Heather joined Ballet West as a Soloist in 1998, under direction of Jonas Kage, dancing Principal roles. One of the highlights of her career was dancing in Wiliam Forsythes, Artifact. Following her retirement from dancing, Heather found a passion for choreography. She has choreographed works for many companies across the United States. Her most recent projects include; Ballet West II, Long Beach Ballet, the Utah Valley University Ballet and Modern Dance department as well as the University of Utah Ballet department. In 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, her works won high Honors at the Regional Dance America Festival, and have been selected for the National Choreographic Plan. Heather has also been selected as an outstanding choreographer for the Youth America Grand Prix Ballet com-petitions in 2009 and 2010 and 2012.

Heather taught at Utah Valley University where she directed the student company, Repertory Ballet Ensemble. She is currently Ballet Mistress for Utah Metropolitan Ballet and Co-Director of Utah Metropolitan Ballet II, the pre-professional company of Utah Metropolitan Ballet.
