The Technology Ball encompasses a unique series of networking gatherings that brings the technology community together, providing rare networking opportunies for leading CIOs, CTOs, VPs of IT, etc. (Execuve Hosts) to mingle with Senior-Level Representaves from Sponsoring Corporaons. The social seng allows parcipants to generate new business relaonships while strengthening exisng ones, and the open networking environment brings target clients together. Technology Ball events facilitate innovave collaboraon and the creaon of partnerships, oſten resulng in closed pipeline. Net proceeds from Technology Ball fundraising support University of Texas at Dallas’ (UTD) STEM programs to pave the way for future technology leaders. UTD is a local university with a profound focus on STEM, making them an ideal partner for the passion of the Technology Ball community. The University has a goal of bringing 100,000 STEM teachers into classrooms by 2021. Addionally, UTD has specific STEM objecves that include advancing STEM literacy and workforce preparaon and growing learner confidence and interest in the performance of STEM related tasks. The Technology Ball partnership with UTD includes: - Funding Student Scholarships - Sponsoring career and intern fairs - Developing a custom mentor program - Technology Ball tools created by UTD students - Sponsoring Hack-a-Thons and other educaonal events - Judge/advise educaonal events such as Hack-a-Thons - UTD classroom guest speaker opportunies - And more ideas are being explored!
