EDASC’s annual Economic Forecast Night brings together over 400business leaders, elected offi cials and community representati ves to look at economic and business trends shaping Skagit County and beyond. Along with EDASC CEO John Sternlicht’s year-in-review and look forward at the county’s economic trends by economists Dr. Laurie Trautman and Dr. Anneliese Vance-Sherman, att endees will be treated to a roundtable discussion and debate among regional leaders in higher educati on.

Panelists include Skagit Valley College President Dr. Thomas Keegan,Western Washington University President Dr. Sabah Randhawa,Washington State University-Everett Chancellor Dr. Paul Pitre and Univer-sity of Puget Sound President Dr. Isiaah Crawford.

The discussion will center on post-secondary educati on’s role indeveloping a healthy workforce, parti cularly regarding liberal artseducati on versus workforce training and career readiness.
