2020 Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement Meeting Student Internship Application Form Instructions Please complete this application form and submit to a faculty/staff sponsor on your campus for endorsement. The faculty/staff sponsor should send the completed endorsement form and student application form by email to [email protected] with the subject line: CLDE20 Student Intern Application [Student First Name and Last Name]. The deadline for submission is 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on October 4, 2019. Eligibility The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for selection as a CLDE20 student intern: • Current and continued enrollment at an AASCU and/or NASPA institution; • A completed CLDE20 Student Intern Application Form; • Endorsement from faculty/staff sponsor; and • Application materials submitted by email by 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on October 4, 2019. CLDE20 Student Intern Expectations • Participate actively and collegially in the CLDE20 planning process and onsite at CLDE20; • Communicate regularly with the CLDE20 planning committee and provide timely updates; • Engage in CLDE20 planning activities with a willingness to learn and collaborate; and • Represent CLDE20 in a professional manner and perform the responsibilities of the CLDE20 student internship to the best of your ability. Selected student interns will join the CLDE20 planning committee and engage in the following activities: • Organize a student symposium at CLDE20 and volunteer onsite (e.g., at the registration desk); • Promote student engagement and coordinate student programming at CLDE20; • Serve on the CLDE20 planning committee by participating in monthly calls, assisting in review of program submissions in early 2020, providing updates on the student planning process, and promoting CLDE20 communication efforts such as blogging and social media; • Promote CLDE20 on campus; and • Contribute to other CLDE20 initiatives as opportunities become available.
