IT Greetings My ECF Family, In the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Can you believe it? We are slowly coming out of a global pandemic! I hope you all are safe and expectant of the coming year. Speaking of hope! I hope that after all the separations, isolations we have endured with social distancing, hand washing, mask wearing, testing and vaccinations that we have come to appreciate the things we have been restricted from doing.
I hope it has made you more appreciative of personal relationships, your loved ones, grocery shopping, social gatherings, church fellowships, going
to the movies and eating at restaurants. Most of all, I hope it has made you more intentional about the things that God has called and commanded us to do, such as the sharing of our faith unashamedly, attending Worship Services more regularly, giving of our time, talent and treasure more generously, more intentional about our obedience to God. This pandemic has taught us that things can change in a moment. We can no longer assume that what we have been given to do, we have unlimited time to complete it. Now, looking forward, 2022 looks hopeful because there is hope! We plan to gradually open all facets of our ministry functions in 2022, with an ear to the CDC guidelines and our communities’ level of comfort as we come back to serving together in person and throughout the Date Street/ Del Rosa, San Bernardino County area. Please know, I will not rush into anything that I perceive is unsafe for us to do. I am excitedly hopeful, that all that has been predicted regarding Covid 19 will come to pass in 2022; that we will find serving the kingdom of God in two venues as advantageous as it has been during 2020 and 2021. By two venues I mean, Virtual and Live! What we adapted to during the pandemic is what we are going to continue to do. God has shown us how and given us great influence and outreach into this virtual world. We have family now in this virtual world that we need to continue to minister to and include, as much as possible, in what we do in the live venue. Therefore, we will work to make almost everything we do (to borrow a phrase from our Educators) ‘Dual Immersion’ both live and virtual. So, join with me in prayer: 1) That God would continue to give us wisdom to follow His lead and apply wisely the information we receive. 2) That our ‘Dual Immersion’ will create a greater sense of interaction in our family, locally and globally. 3) That God would help us all to operate by faith and not by fear. Our theme for 2022 is “Realign & Recommit”. We as believers and the Church must Realign to God’s Word and the fundamentals of our faith (Church Attendance, Bible Study, Quiet Time, Giving, and Sharing Our Faith). We must Recommit ourselves to being more intentional and proactive in obeying them. Listen, I truly appreciate your faithfulness and steadfastness during this season of Covid19. You have been used by God to sustain us. In this manual you will read about the fruit of your faithfulness and generosity. Your efforts to maintain the work that God has called us to do, and preserve the Mission and Vision that God has given us. In closing, with all that we have come through, let us Realign & Recommit, so that we, our families and our church may experience every good and perfect gift that only comes from the Father of Lights (James 1:17 KJV) Yours Serving Him, Pastor Josh
