FirstSemesterFOCUS:TheMissionofJesusChrist(ThePaschalMystery)ThepurposeofthiscourseistohelpstudentsunderstandallthatGodhasdoneforusthroughHisSon,JesusChrist.Throughthiscourseofstudy,studentswilllearnthatforalleternity,GodhasplannedforustoshareeternalhappinesswithHim,whichisaccomplishedthroughtheredemptionChristwonforus.StudentswilllearnthattheyshareinthisredemptioninandthroughJesusChrist.TheywillalsobeintroducedtowhatitmeanstobeadiscipleofChristandwhatlifeasadiscipleentails.SecondSemesterFOCUS:JesusChrist’sMissionContinuesintheChurchThepurposeofthiscourseistohelpthestudentsunderstandthatinandthroughtheChurchtheyencounterthelivingJesusChrist.TheywillbeintroducedtothefactthattheChurchwasfoundedbyChristthroughtheApostlesandissustainedbyHimthroughtheHolySpirit.ThestudentswillcometoknowthattheChurchisthelivingBodyofChristtoday.ThisBodyhasbothdivineandhumanelements.Inthiscourse,studentswilllearnnotsomuchabouteventsinthelifeoftheChurchbutaboutthesacrednatureoftheChurch.
