It has become the leading resource for professional and student development as well as education and research in collegiate recreation. Today, NIRSA is an international association comprised of nearly 4,500 professionals, students and businesses within its membership, serving an estimated 8.1 million students. Tournament Highlights ▪ 804 Participants o 459 Men o 345 Women ▪ 5 Divisions of Play – 78 Total Teams o Women’s Intramural – 7 Teams o Women’s Club – 25 Teams o Men’s Intramural – 12 Teams o Men’s Club – 22 Teams o Unified League – 12 Teams ▪ 48 Student Officials from 36 different institutions attended this year’s tournament ▪ 51 Guests from 43 different institutions served on committees assisting with tracking individual player statistics, the development of officials training, and minute-to-minute social media tournament coverage. ▪ Special guests included: o Michelle Russi – noted female officials in NBA and NCAA o Dianna Depaul – NBA Referee Scout o JB Caldwell – NBA Referee Operations & Scouting Advisor ▪ Special Events: o 63 athletes participated in the 3-Point Contest o 51 athletes competed in the Hot Shot Contest Unified League All-American Players Albert Dorsey Jr. –Florida State University (MVP) Henry Womack – Florida State University Brandon Schmit – University of Oregon Colt Harrison – University of Louisiana- Lafayette Dion Herrington – Colorado State University Rashaan Scott – University of Louisiana- Lafayette Thank you to all guests, staff, student officials, volunteers, teams, and sponsors for contributing to the success of anther great tournament!
