Educational ObjectivesBased on the information presented, the participant will be able to: • Discuss a more automated approach to stroke imaging

and obtain tools to apply this approach into practice.• Recognize the benefits of Palliative care for patients with

neurologic conditions and utilize this resource in practice.• Identify the history of spine surgery and predict how it

will continue to evolve throughout the years.• Utilize tools to assist in diagnosing and managing

epilepsy.• Review updates and insights from the field of Psychiatry

and apply them to neuroscience integrated practice.• Identify 4 commonly-prescribed direct oral anticoagulants

that are widely used in the United States.• Discuss the impact of a simple and effective protocol for

management of DOACs in the perioperative setting.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensu-rate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 5.5 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity pro-vider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit. Non-physician participants will receive a Certificate of Participation following this activity.

The course will review recent developments in the diagnosis and management of common neurological and neurosurgical medical conditions.
