In 1917, The National Society for the Promotion of Occupational Therapy, now known as The American Occupational Therapy Association, was founded and the profession of occupational therapy was formally established. By the early 1930’s, AOTA had developed educational guidelines and accreditation procedures. From there, occupational therapy created clinics, workshops, and training schools nationwide. And the rest…is history!

What isThe American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)?AOTA is the nationally recognized, professional association of more than 61,000 occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and students of occupational therapy. AOTA’s mission is to advance the quality, availability, use, and support of occupational therapy through standard setting, advocacy, education, and research on behalf of its members and the public. For more information, please visit our website at www.aota.org.

AOTA’s Annual Conference & ExpoApril 4–6, 2019 • New Orleans, Louisiana

“AOTA is our favorite conference to exhibit at each year! Tracy and Jeff are great to work with and provide detailed information so you are never left wondering what to do next. The attendees love their jobs and it shows in all interactions on the show floor.” —Liz Founder, Pearson

“INCREDIBLE amount of traffic the first evening of the event. I gave away 2/3 of what I brought to give away at the entire Expo. Much more than I expected, and did more than I would have at four university job fairs.” —Sue Harlow, TriHealth

“This show is a must for the future growth of your business.”

—Susan Whorff, Grampa’s Garden & Weighted Comfort Solutions
