About Yangtze Normal University (YZNU)

With a history of over 80 years, Yangtze Normal University

is a full time regular undergraduate university run by

Chinese Government. It is located in the ancient capital of

Ba Kingdom-Fuling District of middle Chongqing. YZNU

enjoys a good reputation in the society, plays an important

role in the layout structure of colleges and universities in

Chongqing, and has made outstanding contributions to local

economic construction and social development.

About Yangtze Normal University (YZNU)

Programs YZNU offers undergraduate programs and Chinese Language program. The courses of

Chinese liberal arts are only offered in Chinese language, while other professional courses

are available in English or bilingual English and Chinese.

Undergraduate Programs

The length of schooling is 4 years. Students can be awarded a bachelor degree after passing

HSK4, all required courses on syllabus and thesis defense.

※The dormitory building was built in 2015, and has 17

floors and overall 200 rooms, 14 rooms on each floor.

The whole building is under management of a group of

door keepers at lobby ground. It is equipped with

elevator, bathroom, balcony, shower, air-condition,

internet access and so forth. Besides, public kitchen with

refrigerator, microwave oven, electromagnetic oven,

washing room with washers are also offered FOR FREE.

※Costs of water, electricity and gas shall be paid by the student.

Scholarships

1.CHONGQING MAYOR SCHOLARSHIP: RMB 25,000 YUAN PER ACADEMIC YEAR

2.YANGTZE NORMAL UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT SCHOLARSHIP:

First Class (30%): RMB 14,000 Yuan per academic year;

Second class (50%): RMB 10,000 Yuan per academic year;

Third class (20%): RMB 6,000 Yuan per academic year.

Please note:Undergraduate programs' students will be eligible for the first-class YZNU

President Scholarship in the first academic year. From the second academic year on, the

university will assess the scholarship according to students' academic result and

performance in the previous academic year in July each year and announce the list of

scholarships for the next academic year on website: guojjl.yznu.cn.

6. Bank deposit certificate (Local currency no less than 15,000 RMB)

7. Transfer Certificate from your Original School (Students studying in China now)

8. Bank remittance receipt for registration fee RMB 800 Yuan (No refund after pay)

4. HSK certificate (HSK 4 for programs in Chinese;

IELTS≥ 5.5, or TOEFL (Internet-based) ≥70，or pass

English test organized by YZNU for programs in English)

5. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Photocopy. Consult Chinese Embassy web page in

your country to download the form)

6. No Criminal Record

7. Bank deposit certificate (Local currency no less than 15,000 RMB )

8. Transfer Certificate from your Original School (Students studying in China now)

9. Bank remittance receipt for registration fee RMB 400 Yuan (No refund after pay)

10. Two Letters of Recommendation (In Chinese or English; only for the applicants

applying for CHONGQING MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT MAYOR SCHOLARSHIP);

11. Articles or Papers Published (Photocopy, if you have);

12. Application form & Study plan ( In Chinese or English ; only for the applicants applying

for CHONGQING MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT MAYOR SCHOLARSHIP).
