Earning certification under overseas motor standardsWe earn certification under overseas motor standards in response to customers’ plans to enter new overseas markets, and we accept fast-turnaround orders for quantities as small as one.
Improving our DC motor manufacturing capabilities
We deliver sincerity (Magokoro) to markets that demand high performance, high quality, and multi-model, small-lot production. We’ve also entered into a capital alliance with Nishikawa Manufacturing Company, Limited to improve our DC motor manufacturing capabilities. (This initiative is currently being overseen by Showa Denki Shiga Co., Ltd.)
Expanding in-house manufacturing of AC motors
Our motor winding plant manufactures a variety of motor windings so that we can deliver high-quality products that satisfy an array of customer specifications quickly and starting with order quantities as small as one.In addition to working to increase in-house manufacturing, we’re shortening lead times from new product development and design to motor winding completion so that we can launch products as quickly as possible.
Fast turnaround for special-order productsWe’re working to bring as much of the motor manufacturing process in house as possible so that we can shorten lead times for special-order products. We continue to improve production mechanisms and equipment so that we can accommodate multi-model, small-lot orders, including for products that meet overseas standards.

Sport fishingWe put our technologies for rotators to work to develop a DC motor for electric outboard motors used in high-performance bass fishing boats. The most remarkable feature of the motor is its replacement of a conventional motor with brushes with a brushless design to dramatically reduce maintenance frequency, extend service life, and reduce noise.
Brushresa
Showa Denki has entered into a Japanese distributor agreement with U.S. bass fishing boat manufacturers Vexus Boats and Charger Boats so that we can bring the latest boat designs to customers in Japan.
