HISTORY: In the summer of 2019, MAYB will have been in operation for 26 years. In 2018, over 7000 teams from throughout the USA participated in our area tournaments. In 2019 we will offer over 550 tournaments in 26 states. MAYB is now one of the largest organizations of its type in the USA and continues to expand rapidly each season. PROGRAM: MAYB tournaments are unique in many ways. Participating teams are set up by the grade level a player was in during the 2018- 2019 school year. MAYB offers divisions for 3rd -12th grade boys’ and girls’ teams at all events, 1st/2nd grade divisions will be offered at National Tournaments. All players are eligible to participate. We strive to provide a competitive environment for all teams and players to improve their skills. Teams have found MAYB to be a very affordable option for summer participation and skill development. Our five-scheduled game guarantee at each tournament assures a player a minimum of a 20 game summer season in only 4 weekends. Pool play and bracketed tournaments are used to group teams by similar talent. Another unique feature of MAYB is that most area tournaments are locally hosted. Booster clubs, school programs and teams, recreation centers, and various community organizations host the events and use the proceeds within the local community. MAYB is proud of the fact we have been able to help many programs throughout our operation area provide services they may not have been able to afford otherwise. MAYB does reserve the right to combine age groups if necessary at specific tournaments. A team will never be asked to play-up more than one grade level ahead of their division. WHAT IS MAYB? Mid America Youth Basketball was formed by a group of high school coaches for high school programs. For 26 years, MAYB has attempted to provide a maximum amount of court time in a competitive setting for kids interested in developing and testing their basketball skills. We attempt to work closely with school programs to develop their feeder programs from 3rd grade through high school. Many successful programs in several states have made great use of the MAYB program. It has been a great experience to watch many great teams and players come through our system over the years. We value the input of all people involved with MAYB, and we encourage anyone with questions or concerns to contact our office via phone call or email. WHY PLAY MAYB? • Most cost effective program available • No membership or player registration fees • 1st-12th grade boys’ and girls’ divisions • All tournaments are open entry for all teams • Discounts for multiple tournament entries • Pick your playing dates and locations • 4 or 5 game minimum guarantee at all tournaments • No qualifying required to participate for the entire summer • Ability grouping to provide level competition MAYB NATIONAL SUMMER KICKOFF: Be a part of the largest summer basketball tournament in the USA June 7-9, 2019 in the Wichita, KS area. HISTORY:In the summer of 2019, MAYB will have been in operation for 26 years. In 2018, over 7000 teams from throughout the USA participated in our area tournaments. In 2019 we will offer over 550 tournaments in 26 states. MAYB is now one of the largest organizations of its type in the USA and continues to expand rapidly each season.

PROGRAM:MAYB tournaments are unique in many ways.

WHAT IS MAYB?Mid America Youth Basketball was formed by a group of high school coaches for high school programs.

WHY PLAY MAYB?• Most cost effective program available• No membership or player registration fees• 1st-12th grade boys’ and girls’ divisions• All tournaments are open entry for all teams• Discounts for multiple tournament entries• Pick your playing dates and locations• 4 or 5 game minimum guarantee at all tournaments• No qualifying required to participate for the entire summer• Ability grouping to provide level competition

MAYB NATIONAL SUMMER KICKOFF:Be a part of the largest summer basketball tournament in the USA June 7-9, 2019 in the Wichita, KS area. Last year over 700 teams from 22 states participated in this event. In 2019, we will utilize more than 90 School and College gyms in the Central KS area. We will offer grade divisions for 1st – 12th and each team receives a minimum of 5 games. Ability based brackets are used after pool play with awards for all levels of competition. All Kansas teams are to participate in the Summer Kickoff.

MAYB NATIONAL TOURNAMENT:The MAYB season will end with the highly competitive National Tournament. August 1-4, 2019: The Boys’ Event is hosted in the El Dorado/Wichita, KS area and the Girls’ Event is hosted in the Oklahoma City, OK area. The National Tournament varies slightly from the other tournaments with a 4-game guarantee. The National Tournament will offer a Division I and Division II bracket, 1st -12th Grade divisions will be offered. A separate fee applies for this event. Last year over 900 teams from throughout the Nation participated in this fast growing event. Games for this tournament will begin on Thursday.

MAYB “SCHOOL TEAM” TOURNAMENTS: We are now offering 2 High School team events. We will have a 1-2A event in Wichita, KS and a 3-4A event in Salina, KS on June 15-16, 2019. If you are not from KS and would like to participate in one of these events please call our office. We will figure out what classification you are based on the enrollmentnumbers from the top three grades of your High School. There will also be other divisions offered at the Salina event. All tournaments will attempt to divide by school size or skill level. As always, the Summer Kickoff will also offer numerous divisions for high school teams!

COST:Team fees are based on the number of tournaments entered. If teams select the June 7-9 Summer Kickoff tournament, they can take advantage of a 4-tournament package discount at $990. If the Summer Kickoff tournament is not selected, the 4-tournament package price is $1100. All entries are by team, not individual. Many of our teams have sponsors or use fundraising to offset the costs. In addition, many teams will play more than four events each summer. Teams who do this receive additional tournament entries for only $225 per tournament. All other teams are accepted on a space available basis for $315 per tournament. Refunds are not available after the individual entry deadline of the tournament entered. A LATE FEE OF $30 WILL BE ASSESSED ON ALL REGISTRATIONS NOT RECEIVED BY THE INDIVIDUAL ENTRY DEADLINE OF THE TOURNAMENT. HOW TO GET INVOLVED:Contact your area director or the National office for registration information. All forms needed are included in this brochure. Entry Deadline is May 1, 2019 for package discounts. After May 1st, a $50 fee will be assessed to enter the 4-tournament package. On May 15th, the package discount will no longer be available! Many MAYB tournaments do fill to capacity before the deadlines. This fact makes early entry very important. Once a tournament is filled to capacity, no other teams will be accepted even if before the May 1 deadline. After the May 1 deadline, all teams will be accepted on a space available policy. Teams entering tournaments after May 1 will also be required to pay the single tournament registration rate. Last year many teams were turned away from events due to late entry.
