2018 CREOG & APGO ANNUAL MEETING2

Welcome to the 2018 CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting. This year’s meeting, Anchors Away: Navigating Your Course in Medical Education, offers you the opportunity to improve your skills as a leader in women’s health care education, network with colleagues and reunite with friends.

Thank you for joining us for this exciting educational voyage! We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to our “cruise directors” and program co-chairs, Maria Manriquez, MD, and Hope Ricciotti, MD. They have developed a truly exceptional program. We also want to thank all of you who submitted presentations. Your contributions make our program the success it has been over the years.

The 2018 program offers opportunities to sharpen your skills and learn new techniques to take back to your home institutions including wellness, promoting diversity, curriculum reform, difficult learners, mentoring, burnout, simulation and so much more. There is something in this program for everyone.

The Saturday morning sessions will kick off with a riveting session led by ACOG President, Haywood L. Brown, MD, entitled, Redefining the Postpartum Visit: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Improving Women’s Health, followed by two groups of six breakout sessions on topics of interest including Interprofessional education, simulations, EPAs, family planning and checklists. We encourage you to stay for the entire morning to enjoy these small group sessions.

Please join us for our kick off reception in the Exhibit Hall on Wednesday evening. Be sure to check out the latest technology, software products, pharmaceuticals and other items of interest to enhance your programs. New this year is a special Show & Tech area where attendees who signed up in advance can share their innovative ob-gyn education apps. Please make time to visit this area during Exhibit Hall hours.

Thank you again for joining us. We are looking forward to sharing this year’s CREOG & APGO Annual Meeting with you.

Sincerely,

Mark B. Woodland, MS, MD Roger Smith, MDCREOG Chair APGO President
