Sports/Arts PlusDiscover the summer with Sports/Arts! Join our creative and innovative staff to build long lasting summer memories! Participate in your favorite summer pastimes in STEM, fine arts, sports and technology activities. Once a week, take an exciting field trip for an additional fee. Super Summer Program (Grades K-8)Students can explore the great outdoors, use their imagination, create an artistic masterpiece, and gain technology skills all in the same day! Each class takes an in-depth look at a certain topic in these week-long enriching opportunities. Classes include fine arts, STEM, science, outdoors, sports, imagination, and technology.

Classes are offered weekly, Monday through Thursday.

Camp Andersen (following GEMS-GISE Summer STEM Academy)Students in GEMS-GISE Summer STEM Academy are invited to join Community Education’s Camp Andersen program for enjoyable, engaging, well-supervised enrichment activities. Camp Andersen includes sports, games, art projects and crafts. Snack is provided each day.

Luxton Learners (Grades 1-6)Join us for an active summer of exploration. Experience 4 hours daily of hands-on math/literacy and environmental education with licensed teachers. Gain advocacy through a youth directed service learning component and more.

The Wizard of Oz (Grades 1-5)Be a part of the community production of The Wizard of Oz. Develop your unique munchkin personally. 1st-5th grade students can join the Munchkin Chorus in the Wizard of Oz production at Southwest High School.

Alice in Wonderland Jr. (Grades 6-9)Calling all singers, dancers and actors to come together to make the story of Alice in Wonderland Jr. comes alive. High School (Grades 9-12)Check out our new unique classes at Howe that will prepare you for a job, work with youth or learn the bus system. Get experience in youth worker trainings to be prepared to lead your own activities. Classes include Riding the Bus in the City, Youth Worker Internship, Jobs in the Neighborhood, and CPR.

Minneapolis Kids Summer Childcare (Grades 1-6)During the summer months, Minneapolis Kids offers full-day care and wrap-around care before and after MPS summer school.
