REGISTRATION AND ADMISSION PROCEDUREREGISTRATION Registration will be made on submission of thefollowing:

a)Registration form duly filled with a self attestedpassportsizephotographaffixed.

b)RegistrationfeeofRs.200/-bycashtobepaid.

c)AttestedPhotocopiesof

(i)Certificateofdateofbirth (extract from10thstandardorequivalentcertificate).

(ii)CertificateofqualifyingexaminationandMarkSheet.

d)12th standard mark sheet (for undergraduatecertificate and other diploma programs). Ifthe candidate is awaiting result of aforesaidexamination, 10th standard mark sheet may beattached.

e)Finalyeargraduationmarksheet(forPGprograms).If the candidate is awaiting result of aforesaidexam,secondyear’smarksheetmaybeattached.Admission of such candidates shall be confirmedonlyonsubmissionoffinal yeargraduationmarksheet/provisionalcertificate.

COURSE FEES

Fordetailsoffeesandotherpaymentrefertothefeescheduleattachedtotheprospectus.

1.All fees except Registration Fee are payable byDemandDraft/BankPayOrderonly.DemandDraft/Bankpayorderistobedrawninfavourof‘YWCAofDelhi’.

2.Fees are payable in four instalments, unlessotherwisespecifiedforthecourse.

• The First instalment (for the months of July,August & September) should be paid at thetimeofadmission.

• The Second instalment(forOctober,November&December)payableby8thOctober.

• The Third instalment(forJanuary,February&March)payableby8thJanuary.

• The Fourth instalment(forApril,May&June)payableby8thMarch.

If 8th of the month happens to be a holiday then the installment is to be paid by the next working day.

3. Late fee & fine :- If fee is not paid by the due date, a fine of Rs. 100/- will be charged up to last working day of the respective month, followed by Rs. 500/- every month on cumulative basis.

4.Parent/Guardianare tocheckwith theoffice foranyinformationrelatedtopaymentoffees.

REFUNDFEE

1.If a student decides not to join the course aftertakingadmissionand informs theoffice inwriting7dayspriortothecommencementofthecourse,TUITION FEE, SECURITY DEPOSIT and EXAM FEEshallberefunded.

2.Ifastudentdoesnotattendclasseswithin15daysofthecommencementofthecoursewithoutinforminginwriting,theadmissionwillbecancelled,howeveronlyEXAMINATIONFEE&SECURITYDEPOSITwillberefunded.

3.Ifastudent joins thecourseanddiscontinuesanytime after the commencement of the course, norefundofanyamountpaidastuitionfeeoranyotherchargeswillbemade.OnlySECURITYDEPOSITwillberefunded.

4.Ifdue tounavoidablecircumstancesanycourse isnotstartedbytheinstitutethenFULLFEESwillberefunded to the student.

5.The timing for fee deposit / refund etc. is strictlybetween10.00amto4.00p.m.

SECURITY DEPOSIT

1.SecurityDepositisrefundableoncompletionoftheCourse andwithin the periodmentioned throughnotices from time to time. Refund of SecurityDeposit will be made after obtaining requisiteclearancefromrelevantdepartments.Deductionsfordamages,ifanywillbemadefromtheSecurityDeposit.SecurityDepositisrefundableevenonnoncompletionofthecourseandsubjecttonecessaryclearances.Noclaimforrefundofsecuritydepositwill be entertained after the lapse of one year ofcompletionofthecourse.

2.RefundofSecurityDepositshallbemadebyaccountpayee cheque in the STUDENT’SNAMEonly afterthesurrenderof IdentityCardandoriginalreceiptofthesecuritydeposit,onthedateannouncedoncompletionoftherespectivecourse.

3.Shouldastudentfailtocollectthesecuritydepositonthedateannounced,therefundshallbemadebychequeonlyonsubmissionoftheIdentityCardand the original receipt of security deposit alongwithanapplicationbythestudentforthesame.

4.If a student is unable to collect the securitydeposit inperson, thestudent shallauthorizeanyresponsiblepersontocollectthesameonthebasisofanauthorizationlettergivenbythestudentalongwiththeidentitycardandoriginalreceiptofsecuritydeposit.

5.In case of loss of the original receipt, a duplicatefeereceiptcanbeissuedonpaymentofRs.100/-isrequiredinordertoreleasethesecuritydeposit.

ATTENDANCE

1.Studentsshouldberegularandpunctualfromthefirstdayofthesession.

2.Theminimumattendanceshouldbe70%.Studentswhoareshortofattendancewillnotbepermittedto appear for the final examination. They will beeligibletoappearinthesupplementaryexamafterpaymentofexaminationfee.

LEAVE OF ABSENCEPrior permission from the Deputy Directormust beobtained, in writing for leave of absence from theInstitute.Allsuchleavewillbetreatedasabsenceonly.Continuous absence formore than 10 dayswithoutanyintimationwillmakethestudent’snameliabletobestruckoff the rolls. Re-admission inexceptionalcasescanbesoughtonpaymentofre-admissionfeeandarrears,ifany,providedshewillbeabletomakeupto70%attendance.

MEDICAL LEAVEIn case of illness, the Student must submit leaveapplication signed by Parents/ Guardian along withMedical Certificate from the Doctor to the ClassTeacher/CourseCo-ordinatorassoonaspossibleorimmediately after the student re-joins the Institute.Nomedicalcertificatewillbeacceptedafteragapofoneweekfromthedateofher/hisjoiningtheclasses.Attendanceonmedicalgroundswillbegranteduptomaximum of 10% in an academic year. Allmedicalleavemust be supportedwith proof ofmedicationslikeDoctor’sprescription,hospitalization,testreportsetc.

EXAMINATION RULESEVALUATION & EXAMINATION

I. To be eligible for the final examination, students have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

1.70% attendance in all subjects including

Communication&Softskills&Computers.

2.Studentsnotsecuringminimum70%attendancein all subjects will be barred from giving finalexamination.

3.Paymentoffeeinfullwithoutanyarrears.

4.Absenceofanydisciplinaryaction

5.Completionofallsubmissionsandassignments.

II. If a student is found indulging in any unfair means during any examination, the answer sheet will be confiscated. A new answer sheet will be provided to complete the examination in the remaining time. If a student repeats the unfair means, student will be debarred from appearing in all other examinations.

III. Final examination results will be displayed on the Notice Board of the Institute.

IV. The Vocational Training Institute conducts its Final Examination in the month of April – May at the end of every academic session.

COMPONENTS OF EXAMINATIONUNDER GRADUATE COURSES & POST GRADUATE COURSESInternal Assessments are essential and inseparablecomponentsofexaminationschemeoftheInstitute.There will be 2 internal assessments in all Diplomacourses; each carries 20 marks weightage of eachsubject. First Internal Exam will be conducted inNovember2018andthesecondwillbe in January /February–2019.FinalExamscarry60marksweightageinallUndergraduate&Postgraduatediplomacourses.

RE-EVALUATIONApplication for re-evaluation in the prescribed formwillbeacceptedwithin48hoursafterpublicationofthefinalresultonapaymentofRs.100/-persubject.

DIPLOMA / CERTIFICATE

I. The YWCA of Delhi shall issue its own Diplomaafterassessmentofstudent’sperformanceintheexamination.

II. TheDiploma/Certificatemustbecollectedwithin1yearofthecompletionofthecoursefailingwhichthestudentwillhavetopayRs.100/-&collectthesamewithin2years.

III. No Diploma /Marksheet or Bonafide certificatewill be issued in caseof FT (2 year course)afterthecompletionofoneyear.Diploma/Marksheet/ BonafideCertificatewill only be awarded aftersuccessfulcompletionofthetwoyearcourse.

IV. SuccessfulcandidateswillbeawardedtheDiplomaattheAnnualConvocationday.Thedateandtimeof which will be communicated to the studentsby post. Those who fail to collect the Diplomaon Annual Convocation Day, can collect on anyworking Fridays between2-4 p.m. TheDiplomawillbehandedoveronlytothestudentandnottoanyrepresentative.

V. TheprocessingfeeofRs.250/-andRs.500/-willbechargedforDUPLICATEMARKSHEETandDIPLOMArespectively.

SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATION

Only2(Two)chanceswillbegiventoanunsuccessfulcandidate for appearing in the supplementaryexamination within two years (held in September/ May) from the date of completion of the course.Theywillbeeligibletoappear inthesupplementaryexaminationafterpaymentofexamination fee. It istheresponsibilityofthestudenttocontacttheofficeforfurtherinformation.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION (FASHION SHOW / EXHIBITION) AND ‘Y’ COMMUNITY SERVICE AND SOCIAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME:

All Vocational Training Institute students would berequired to participate in Annual Day Celebrationheld at the endofAcademic Session in the formofExhibition / Fashion Show. Since YWCA is an NGO,students would also be required to participate inAwareness programme related to social cause,

uplifting&empowermentofwomen.

INTERNSHIP

Internshipisacompulsorypartofthetrainingwhichactsasasteppingstoneintothecorporateworldforstudents.Itwillbevalidonlywhen

a)TheauthorizationletterfromtheInstituteisissued.

b)IsundertakeninDelhi.

c)Isundertakenwithinthetimespecifiedintheyearplan. The students are expected to interact withvarious organizations for their project work andtheirInternship.

All students must undergo for an Internship in anyorganizationoftheirchoice(ie.Theyhavetofindoutthe organization on their own) as per requirementof the course. A certificate from the concernedorganization,whereoneundergoestrainingistobesubmittedtotheOfficeforrecords. DiplomawillbeawardedonlytothosestudentswhoundergoInternship/onthejobtrainingandproducetheproofofthesame.

STUDENT SERVICES I. COUNSELING

Counselingfacilitiesareavailableforstudentsandparents.Counselingsessionsareheldfromtimetotimeandwheneverrequired.

II. PLACEMENT SERVICE

Oncompletionoftheirrespectivecourses,studentsmayseekthehelpofPlacementServicesavailableattheYWCAofDelhi.Allstudentswillensurethattheyare registeredwith thePlacementcelloncetheyareadmitted.

DISCIPLINE IN THE CAMPUS1.AllstudentsaresubjecttothedisciplineoftheVTI

2.Irregular attendance or misconduct will render astudentliableforsuspension/dismissalatanytime.The Deputy Director’s / Education Committee’sdecisionisfinalinthisregard.Incaseofanydamageto property, equipment, book etc. the studentconcerned shall be liable to replace thedamaged

propertyormakegoodthecostoftheitems.

3.Visitors are not permitted to meet the students

duringclasshoursexceptwiththepriorpermission

oftheDeputyDirector.

4.Studentsarenotallowedtousemobilephonesin

theclassrooms.

5.Students shall not leave the Institute premises

during class hours without prior permission from

the respective class teacher / course co-ordinator

andtheDeputyDirectorofVTI.

6.TheInstituteholdsresponsibilityonlyforstudents

presentinourclassattendancerecordsduringclass

hours and is not responsible for them before or

aftercoursehours.

7.Studentsareexpectedtodressneatlyandmodestly.

8.Office telephone may be used only in case ofemergency on payment of Rs. 5/- per call. TheofficeofVTIshallnotentertaintelephonecallsfor

anystudentexceptincaseofanemergency.

9.Nostudentshalluseanypersonneloftheinstitute

forherpersonalerrands.

10.Any student found adopting unfair means or

actingagainsttheinterestoftheInstituteshallbe

debarredfromcompletingthecourse.

11.The Institute shall not take responsibility for any

injurysustainedbyastudent,withinthecampus

thoughallprecautionsshallbetakentoavoidany

unwantedincident.

12.TheYWCAofDelhiwillnotberesponsibleforthe
