3. Objective(s): 1. Provide for the safety of the participants and public 2. Coordinate, support, and facilitate delivery of the UAS seminar in order to provide a successful educational

opportunity for public safety officials. 3. Provide accurate and consistent information to the public and stakeholders throughout the event. 4. Enhance incident safety efforts by providing effective communications, situational awareness, information

sharing systems, and maintaining a common operating picture for all event participants and stakeholders. 5. Coordinate entrance/exit traffic flow and parking throughout the duration of the seminar. 6. Remain fiscally responsible throughout the event and control event costs when possible.

4. Operational Period Command Emphasis: The goal for conference support staff is to provide for an informative conference that provides value to the attendees and is worth their time spent attending. In meeting this goal, the conference support staff will provide for the safety and well-being for all attendees, speakers, and staff.

General Situational Awareness • The King Family Vineyard is open for business while the seminar is taking place. • A FEMA AWR-345 Unmanned Aircraft Systems class will run concurrently to the seminar in an adjoining

facility on Monday the 27th. Separate FEMA instructors will deliver the course. • A meeting of VA agencies and officials will run currently in an adjoining facility from 1000-1200 hours on

Tuesday the 28th. This meeting will be coordinated by the VA Department of Aviation. • All sessions are general sessions and will be held in the main facility. There are no breakout sessions • PVCC will handle registration each day • PVCC will provide all AV and sound supplies. • Lunch will be catered each day on site • Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office will assist with traffic control and parking each day • Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office will assist with coordination of the field activities/simulations on Wednesday,

March 1st. • Aviation and safety specialists (“air boss, Air Attack/ATGS”) will be available for the practical field exercises. • There are no-fly zones indicated on the map for portions of the King Family facility • Flight Briefing for presenters and vendors on Tuesday, the 28th from 1600-1800 hours • Pilot/Operators Safety Briefing on Wednesday, March 1st from 0800-0830 hours. • Weather necessary for flying is: no heavy rain, winds <10 mph (10-25 knots “CAUTION”, >25 knots “RED”), 3

mile visibility • If the weather is bad on Wednesday the 1st, the practical scenarios will be move to the John Paul Jones Arena

After the immediate needs of the ill or injured patient are taken care of, and you are assured an ambulance is on the way, please notify the Incident Commander as soon as possible of the illness or injury.
