2017 PULMONARY DISEASE CONFERENCE

Advancements in Care The care management of pulmonary diseases is rapidly evolving. During this half-day conference, we will discuss current approaches in the screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of common pulmonary diseases, including asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, pulmonary hypertension and lung cancer. Designed with primary care in mind, each topic will explore integrated approaches to improving patient outcomes in short 30-minute sessions.
Who should attend?Primary care and internal medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists and allied
health professionals.
Participants can receive up to 3.5 CME and 3.58 nursing contact hours. Continuing education credit from the American Association of Respiratory Care is pending.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES: 1. Identify common pulmonary disorders.
2. List the treatment options for common pulmonary disorders and recognize when a referral may be needed.
3. Describe the appropriate modalities and rationale for screening patients with pulmonary disorders.
4. Discuss best practices and guidelines for pulmonary disorders.

Franciscan Health Hospital is accredited by the Indiana
State Medical Association to provide continuing medical
education for physicians. Franciscan Health Hospital
designates this educational activity for a maximum of
3.5 AMA PRA category 1 credit(s)TM. Physicians should
claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of
their participation in the activity.
The planning committee members and faculty have
declared no conflict of interest in providing this
program. Criteria for successful completion of the
program includes time in attendance at the event and
submission of a completed evaluation form.
