2017 Nissan GT-R Most Likely To Be Launched In Australia This September The Nissan GT-R has been drastically upgraded for the 2017 model. The car was initially launched in the year 2007, but now it is going to receive the most significant upgrades that include a new interior, meticulous exterior updates and a 15 kW rise in power. From September 2016, Australia will be obtaining this premium edition and Nismo- tuned track edition. The 2017 Nissan GT-R receives a bigger grille opening towards the front to aid cooling. A newly designed bonnet and a remoulded front bar render the large Nissan a more aggressive front look, all while adding to aerodynamic downforce. The most evident alterations are seen in the interiors. A fully new ‘horizontal flow’ instrument panel and driver oriented console render a more advanced and simplified instrument layout. It has an all new 8-inch touch screen and the console-mounted control mechanism, which drives the modified infotainment and vehicle management software. The shift paddles mounted on the steering column were often criticised in the GT-R and it has been modified; now, they are fixed to the wheel. What’s beneath the bonnet is the power from the twin-turbo V6, which is increased by 15 kW and torque is raised by 4 Nm, which now stands at 419 kW of power and 632 Nm of torque respectively. The output refinements come from improved boost through the turbos and enhanced ignition timing control. The 6-speed dual clutch transmission has also been upgraded to render quicker and smoother gear shifts with less of that ‘truck-like’ idle sound for which the GT-R is known for. To aid the 2017 Nissan GT-R to sound the same way as it looks, it has been upgraded with new titanium mufflers and a sound simulation system (ASE: Active Sound Enhancement). With new suspension, rigidity improvements, and new 20-inch Y-spoke wheels, all functioning to render the renowned tarmac-chewing GT-R performance, you get better and superior handling.

The Nissan GT-R has been drastically upgraded for the 2017 model. The car was initially

launched in the year 2007, but now it is going to receive the most significant upgrades

that include a new interior, meticulous exterior updates and a 15 kW rise in power.

From September 2016, Australia will be obtaining this premium edition and Nismo-

tuned track edition.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R receives a bigger grille opening towards the front to aid cooling.

A newly designed bonnet and a remoulded front bar render the large Nissan a more

aggressive front look, all while adding to aerodynamic downforce.

The most evident alterations are seen in the interiors. A fully new ‘horizontal flow’

instrument panel and driver oriented console render a more advanced and simplified

instrument layout.

It has an all new 8-inch touch screen and the console-mounted control mechanism,

which drives the modified infotainment and vehicle management software. The shift

paddles mounted on the steering column were often criticised in the GT-R and it has

been modified; now, they are fixed to the wheel.

What’s beneath the bonnet is the power from the twin-turbo V6, which is increased by

15 kW and torque is raised by 4 Nm, which now stands at 419 kW of power and 632 Nm

of torque respectively. The output refinements come from improved boost through the

turbos and enhanced ignition timing control.

Hiroshi Tamura, the Chief Product Specialist of the Nissan GT-R says, “We have

continued to drive its performance limits to the outer boundaries”. Without a doubt, it is

now more powerful than before; simultaneously, more fine-tuning has been performed

to take the whole driving experience to a completely new level. We’re happy to bring

you what we believe is the ultimate GT that has a breathtaking performance, newfound

courtesy and a strong history of racing.

During the launch, it seems like Nissan doesn’t anticipate a price rise from the outgoing

range’s $172,000 (on-road costs extra), which makes the All-New Nissan GTR 2017

even more tempting.
