KITS has organised grand gala celebration, 7th National Level Technical & Cultural Fest"EKATRA-17", on 24th & 25th January, 2017. Sri Tummala Nageswara Rao garu, Hon'ble Ministerof Roads & Buildings and Women & Child Welfare, Govt. of Telangana, as Chief Guest andinaugurated EKATRA festival and opened Colors of Innovation. He gave an inspiring messagethat " the Engineering students should use this opportunity and platform to build their technicaland managerial skills so that they will utilize all the opportunities which come on their way andreach the top positions in the future. Keeping in mind, the Govt of Telangana has initiatedseveral measures to increase the quality in engineering studies'. He also praised the goodefforts of the management of KITS to propagate quality education in this region and wishedthat several milestones may well be achieved in future. The event was also graced by MuvvaVijay Babu, Chairman, DCCB, Sri Hemanth Kopalle, Sr. Tech. Consultant & Design Architect,Capgemini. Sri M Niranjan Reddy, Chairman, Sri Kota Appi Reddy, Secretary & CorrespondentProf G S Durga Prasad, Principal also participated in the event.

The Colors of Celebrations of Ekatra was inaugurated by Shri Ponguleti Srinivasa Rao MP, Khammam, SriM Krishna, Chairman, Agriculture Market Committee, Khammam graced the occasion. The participants brought
down to the earth the colorful rainbow with traditional competitions on singing, dancing, face-painting and
other fine arts. KITS pioneered and introduced Chorio Night - which attracted participation from NIT's andDeemed University's. The day came to an end with DJ and left many memories while leaving more expecta-
tions on EKATRA-18. Ms.Nutana, Mr.Karthik Kodakandla and Ms.Dhamini Bhatla, Popular cine play back
singers graced the occasion as the Guests of Colors of Celebration and entertained the participants withtheir tremendous performance on the musical night. Over 12,000 students of various engineering colleges
participated in the fest in technical events like Project expo, Quiz, Paper presentation, Ideathon etc., and
cultural events like Chorio Night, Fashion show, Short films, Singing, Skits etc. The winners of the variousevents were honored.
