Dear Member:

The Kansas Turfgrass Foundation is an organization composed of turfgrass professionals from allsegments of the industry including golf courses, sports turf, lawn care, grounds, parks and suppliers. Anyone who derives at least part of their income from maintaining, installing, or selling turfgrass,equipment, products or related supplies is eligible for membership.

The primary purpose of the Kansas Turfgrass Foundation is to support turfgrass extension, research andeducation. Members of the turfgrass team at Kansas State University conduct turfgrass research atManhattan, Olathe, and Wichita to support the needs of the industry. In turn, support from the industryenables this research to be done.

Educational programs include the annual turfgrass conference, field day, and the newsletter which is sentquarterly as part of your membership. Research results are published in an annual report provided tomembers and posted on our web site at http://www.ksuturf.org There you’ll also find all of ourextension publications on turfgrass culture.

This statewide organization also offers you an opportunity for professional improvement. Muchknowledge is gained by interacting with your colleagues around the state and discussing ideas andproblems of mutual concern.
