A C T I V I T Y C E N T E RThe Thomas Welsh Activity Center hosts a variety of summer programs and concerts. Program schedules are available at the Park O� ce. The Activity Center is available to rent for parties, weddings, meetings, and more.

A N N U A L B O A T I N G A N D O U T D O O R R E C R E A T I O N F E S T I V A LThis annual park festival boasts Michigan’s largest � oating boat show that includes family fun entertainment. Please contact the Park O� ce for dates and details.

B E A C H S H O PSwimsuits, sunglasses, towels, suntan products, souvenirs, picnic supplies, and toys are sold at the Beach Shop.

B O A T L A U N C HEight ramps, located near the North Marina along Black Creek, provide easy access to Lake St. Clair. Personal watercraft and sailboards can enter the water at the daysail launches located near the golf course. A Metroparks Boat Launch Permit is required to launch a watercraft from a trailer at these sites.

B O A T R E N T A LKayaks and stand up paddleboards can be rented near the boat launch on weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

C O N C E S S I O N SFood and beverages are sold at the Beachside Grill Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

C O U R T G A M E STennis courts and shu� eboard courts are located near the Children’s Play Area, with equipment available free of charge on a � rst come, � rst served basis from the Par-3 building. Basketball courts and sand volleyball courts are located within the park.

F I S H I N GHuron Point provides 1.5 miles of shoreline � shing on Lake St. Clair. Shore � shing is restricted along the beach and at the marinas from April through October. A Michigan Fishing license is required.

H I K E - B I K E T R A I LA 3.75 mile, � at, paved trail leads through the park and connects to the Freedom Trail along Metro Parkway. The Metroparks advocate the use of safety equipment and helmets. Trail speed limit is enforced. Pets on a six foot leash are permitted.

M A R I N A STwo marinas along Black Creek provide transient accommodations for approximately 100 boats. Water, electricity, restrooms, showers, and pump-out service are available. Advanced reservations are accepted through the Michigan DNR by calling 1-800-447-2757 or visit www.midnrreservations.com. Boat clubs welcome. Fishing is restricted in the marinas from April through October.

P A R - 3 G O L F A N D F O O T G O L FThis 18-hole golf course has hole distances from 43 to 101 yards. Golf clubs, golf balls, pull carts, soccer balls, and handicap golf carts are available. Senior (55+) and junior (20 and younger) rates are available on weekdays. Some restrictions apply.

P E T SDogs and other pets are permitted in the park only when kept on a six foot (or less) leash. Pets are not permitted in the nature areas, Par-3 golf course, on beaches, cross-country ski trails, or in buildings.

P I C N I C STables, grills, and shelters are located throughout the park. Please register with the Park O� ce if you have a group of 50 people or more. Shelters can be reserved for a fee.

P L A Y G R O U N D SChildren can play on swings, a playscape, and other equipment near the beach. The playground has separate areas for younger and older kids.

S H I P W R E C K L A G O O NA D V E N T U R E G O L FThe 18-hole miniature golf course, complete with waterfalls and two rivers, provides competitive fun for everyone.

S Q U I R T Z O N EStop in to cool o� at the Squirt Zone! The water sprayground features ground sprays, water cannons, arches and more. The Squirt Zone is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

S W I M M I N G B E A C HA 600-foot-long sandy beach stretches along Lake St. Clair. The bathhouse has dressing rooms, heated showers, and coin operated lockers. Swimming is permitted May 1 through September 30.

S W I M M I N G P O O L A N D W A T E R S L I D EA 50 meter swimming pool features two waterslides and areas for swimming. The waterslides have 120-foot-long � umes with a 17-foot vertical drop. There is also an in� atable obstacle course and climbing walls. The pool is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, beginning Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The bathhouse and beach shop are located by the pool.

S H U T T L E B U SShuttle service to Huron Point picnic area, the wedding gazebo, and shore � shing areas is available daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

W I N T E R S P O R T SCROSS- COUN TRY SK I INGSki two and a half miles of classical groomed ski trails on well marked, relatively � at terrain.

ICE FISHINGIce � shing is permitted at the North Marina. This area is known as a good perch � shing site, with anglers � shing on the canals, north boat basin, and on Lake St. Clair. A Michigan Fishing license is required.

ICE SK ATING/HO CK E YIce skating and ice hockey rinks are located at West Play� eld. The rinks have a warming shelter. Rinks are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily when conditions permit.

SLEDDINGA sledding hill is located at West Play� eld.

S P E C I A L N E E D SFor those with accessibility needs, transportation from the parking lot to the beach, golf course, or picnic areas is available. Please contact the Park O� ce to request assistance. Rental wagons are available at the park o� ce to help tote gear.

The Nature Center features displays on wetlands, waterfowl, live animals, and the historical use of the area by the French Voyageurs. Park interpreters host nature walks and interpretive programs.

N A T U R E T R A I L SA portion of Lake St. Clair Metropark is set aside for the study and enjoyment of nature. 1.5 miles of self-guided � at nature trails teeming with wildlife traverse a freshwater marsh, meadows, and woods. Trails are open from daylight to dusk. Rules of use apply to help maintain these natural areas.

The park’s marsh is home to an abundance of waterfowl, and is a top bird watching site. The Par-3 golf course, swimming pool, marinas, nature center, adventure golf, and picnic areas add to your visit. With a one-mile shoreline on Lake St. Clair, and just a short drive from Mt. Clemens, this 770-acre park provides the perfect backdrop for your next outdoor venture.
