Dear Friends,
ndAccept greetings from Team Indore, IOACON 2017 of the 62 Annual Convention of Indian Orthopaedic Association to be held in Indore, the industrial capital of Madhya Pradesh (Central India), which is also called the heart of India.
We are indeed very happy to extend our very warm and cordial invitation to all of you to this beautiful city, which is surrounded by many religious places & tourist spots. Visit to such places will be your life time experience. Indore has been the seat of Holkars during the rule of Peshwas and later under the rule of Britishers.
The virgin Narmada & Shipra rivers in closed vicinity. There are two very important Jyotirlings, Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain, free trio to pre-registered members) & Omkareshwar. The visit to these places is a must for Hindus at least once in their lifetime. We are sure that none of you would like to miss this opportunity.
Many good tourist spot like Mandu (related to very famous Rani Rupmati & Baaz Bahadur love story), Maheshwar (the bank of Narmada River) and Hanuwantiya water resort, largest in Asia will be the added attraction for you. You can also plan a visit to world famous Khajuraho Temples, which is unique in the world. Besides this, there so many other attractions. The tourism department of Madhya Pradesh government will be there to take care of your comfort.
Brigade of young and dynamic Orthopaedic Surgeons are leaving no stone unturned in preparing the scientific program & other educational activities. Be assured of spectacular inauguration, a different type of entertainment programme. The famous cuisine of Malwa region is waiting for you. The climate is very pleasant in the month of December. With the support of all of you we have brought IOACON – 2017 to Indore. It is dream fulfilled. Indore is a beautiful and one of the cleanest cities in the country. The people of Malwa region are simple and love their guests. They enjoy different types of cuisines and love to serve. The sarafa is known all over the country as best food court. Many times it has been mentioned on BBC and other channels. Many excellent places of tourist interest like Mahakal and Mandu. These are the places which must be visited. This area is known for Mahashwaries and Chanderi saries. Your spouse will love to choose few out of big and reasonably priced collection. Weather is supper and you will love it. We are more than confident that you will carry many sweet memories back home.

Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to IOACON 2017, Indore a “Conference with a Difference”.
The Vibrant and Enthusiastic team of Orthopaedic surgeons from Indore and the rest of Madhya Pradesh along with the IOA Central committee are making all out herculean effort in organizing this year’s mega annual event. The scientific committee headed by Dr. Naneria & Dr. Gour which forms the backbone of any successful conference have been toiling hard to showcase excellent scientific work done by the best amongst us.
Presidents of many global organizations have promised to come along with speakers from their country. This will definitely add an international flavor to our annual conference.
The CME is being arranged by NEROSA on Deformities. They have diligently invited eminent faculties and mentors. There is also the newly formed ICL to look forward too. It will be the first IOACON where we will be endorsing the “Guest Nation Concept”. This year unanimous choice has been Malaysia which their President has graciously accepted. We all are looking forward to a session of Malaysians Scientific Feast.
Of course the Gala, the accompanying persons programs will be refreshingly different. A musical extravaganza, sports meet, interactive children activities is something the core committee is going to surprise you with. Indore is at its climatic best during the last week of December. Madhya Pradesh is a tourist delight. There are historic places, temples for the religiously inclined and wildlife reserves for the adventures, not to miss superb tasty street food for the foodie.

th stOrthopaedic Association as Honorary Secretary of Indian Orthopaedic Association of 11,500 members at Indore from 26 December 2017 to 31 December 2017. Although throughout the year there are conferences, workshops, seminars, symposiums, and subspecialty meetings going-on, “IOACON” has gained a reputation of the largest educational meet which covers the needs of all orthopaedic surgeons may be highly specialized training or day to day orthopaedic practice. It gives you a platform to learn, to share and to discuss your needs amongst the stalwarts at both national and international levels in the field and that’s why IOACON is attended by more than 5000 delegates now. The organising committee has done an excellent job covering a wide spectrum of interest in the area of Orthopaedic Care.

It is with pleasure and pride that I pen this message for the brochure of the IOACON 2017. With every passing year the IOACON has become a bigger and bigger event, and it is the aim of the association and the organizers to take it to even greater heights.
With this in mind, it has been proposed by the MP chapter that they will ensure IOACON 2017 will be an outstanding academic event, and since it is being organized by an experienced team, we expect an excellent social and academic interaction.

Ÿ Spot registration will not be guaranteed Conference Kit and Gift.
Ÿ Conference Registration is mandatory for registration in workshop & CME.
Ÿ Post Graduate Students should submit a certificate / letter from HOD along with registration.
Ÿ Accompanying persons & children will not be allowed to the scientific sessions.
Ÿ All children above 8 years of age have to register as accompanying child.
Ÿ Children below 8 years of age have to be registered (free of charge) for logistics and security reasons, & have to submit their age proof along with the registration to the Conference Secretariat or you can send scan copy on [email protected]
Ÿ Senior citizens (only IOA members) above 65 years of age are exempted form conference registration fee only, but they have to pay the incidental charges, CME, workshop & Banquet charges and must send separately filled Registration form with proof of age to the Conference secretariat along with the payment.
Ÿ Free registration for senior Citizen is applicable for IOA members only.

Ÿ Rajwada: Rajwada is a historical palace in Indore city. It was built by the Holkars of the Maratha Empire about two centuries ago.
Ÿ Kaanch Mandir: The Kanch Mandir, is entirely made up of glass and mirrors. It is also known as the Seth Hukamchand Temple, as it was built by the "Cotton King" Sir Hukamchand Seth in the early 20th century. It is primarily a Jain temple and is a wonder in glass.
Ÿ Khajrana Temple: Built in the year 1857 during the reign of Rani Ahilya Bai Holkar, this temple is one of the famous Hindu temples in India.
Ÿ Central Museum: The Museum exhibits the finest collection of Parmar and Gupta th thsculptures which have been collected from the ruins of the 11 -12 century temples at
Hinglajgarh. There are two galleries in the Museum. Gallery I display artifacts from MP's prehistoric period ranging from 5,000 - 4,000BC. All the Hindu mythological carvings have been displayed in Gallery II.
Ÿ Lal Bagh Palace: Built by Maharaja Shivaji Rao Holkar in 1886-1921. The gates of the Palace are a replica of the gates of Buckingham palace (London). They also carry the Holkar State Emblem which states "He who tries will succeed".
