2017 BUS TRIP ITINERARY TUESDAY April 11 th Meet/Greet – Indy Hotel TBA (included in price) WEDNESDAY – April 12th 6:00 A.M. Bus arrives at our hotel in Indianapolis. We will load the snacks, drinks, etc. for the trip 6:15 A.M. - Load luggage 6:30 A.M. - Depart hotel for Louisville, KY 8:30 A.M. Backstretch Breakfast and tour Churchill Downs, Home of the Kentucky Derby 11:30 A.M. Depart Churchill Downs for Summersville, WV 1:00 P.M. Lunch break TBA 6:00 P.M. Arrive Comfort Inn, Summersville, WV 7:00 P.M. Dinner THURSDAY – APRIL 13th 6:00 A.M. – 8:00 A.M. Breakfast at the Motel 8:00 – 8:15 A.M. Reload the luggage onto the bus 8:15 A.M. Depart Summersville, WV for Green Bank, WV National Radio Astronomy Observatory 11:00 A.M. Tour the Science Center and Bus tour of the world’s largest telescope 12:00 P.M. Lunch at the Science Center 1:00 P.M. Depart for Arlington, , VA Approx 6:00 P.M. Arrive at Hotel The rest of the day is free to settle in at hotel, dinner on our own, and Hospitality Room will open after dinner. FRIDAY – APRIL 14th Breakfast on own 9:15 A.M. Depart for Washington, D.C. 10:00 A.M. Tour of the Shrine of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church. Depart 11:30 A.M. At 12:00 P.M. Lunch on your own in the quaint downtown of Alexandria, VA 2:00 P.M. Those that wish to visit the Old Guard Caisson Platoon at Ft. Myers Stables will depart. Those that prefer to remain in Alexandria to shop or site see may do that and we will pick them up at 4:30P.M. We will return to the hotel by 5:00 P.M. for out Pizza Party (6:00 pm) in the Hospitality Room and night tour of D.C. monuments. SATURDAY – APRIL 15th Breakfast on own 8:45 A.M. Leave for Arlington Cemetery 9:45 A.M. Board the tram for the beginning of our tour of Arlington Cemetery 10:40 A.M. approx. the tram will leave us at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier for our Wreath Laying at 11:15 P.M. 11:30 P.M. (after the Wreath Lying) we continue on the tram for the drive through cemetery. 12:30 P.M. (or when everyone has boarded) Return to hotel. Rest of the afternoon is free - Hospitality Room open. That evening is our Banquet with the Grand Encampment in the Hotel at 6:00 P.M. SUNDAY – APRIL 16th 6:00 A.M. – 7:00 A.M. Breakfast with the Grand Encampment in Hotel 7:30 A.M. leave for the George Washington Masonic Memorial for our Easter Service 8:00 A.M. – 9:00 A.M. The Commandery March and Easter Service 9:00 A.M. approx. – return to Hotel for quick change and loading of bus 10:00 A.M. depart for Indianapolis Stops every couple hours for potty breaks, lunch and dinner 10:00 P.M. arrive in Indy
