A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE UPON THE PASSING OF JAMES BOBBY ROBERTS OF KERSHAW AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate were deeply saddened by the passing of James Bobby Roberts of Kershaw on April 8, 2017, at the venerable age of eighty-four; and

Whereas, answering the call of his country, Mr. Roberts served in the United States Navy, where he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, China Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and United Nations Service Medal; and

Water Board for Bethune Rural Water Company, was a Mason, and volunteered for the United Way. He retired from DuPont Company; and

Whereas, he leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of sixty-five years, Suzanne L. Roberts; his son, James K. Roberts (Tammy) of Kershaw; his daughter, Sandra R.
