Here’s a little preview of the upcoming classes for 2016. We are still working on

the entire year’s schedule and inviting teacher’s proposals. We have a new form which has

been posted on the website. Jane Milner has signed on for two classes: a two day “Hen

Basket” in June and an October date for “4 Frogs Dancing.” Kaylee Mayne, Judy Magiera

and Betty Hulse will also be on the schedule; these are just a few of next year’s instruc-

tor’s. If anyone has a fun basket they would like to share with the group, please fill out

the new form, you can also contact, Kristy Dial, Susan Lester or Karen Olson—the Program

Message for the President As I write this for the last time so many things come to mind that I would like to say to all of you fellow basket makers. I am feeling somewhat melancholy yet happy at the same time. I look forward to handing the reigns over to Bonnie Kennedy and know she will do a great job as president. I also know I will miss leading monthly meetings and all the other tasks that go along with the presidency. I have so many people to thank, who have helped me perform the duties of president, I can’t possibly list you all. So thank you, thank you, thank you, everyone! I would like to pass on a special thanks to Carol Thomas, you are the one who encouraged me to attend my first GBB meeting. Look at me now, I’m finishing a 3rd term as GBB president. I was such a Greenhorn when I accepted this position. I have learned so much about my fellow members , half of whom I barely knew your names 3 years ago, and about basket making, gourd art and various other art forms. I have been able to go out in the community and confidently promote this great group with lots of pride and tell others what a wonderful group of people you all are. Your talent and knowledge of baskets continues to astound me. I get excited when I think of all the things we have accomplished these past 3 years and look forward to see what direction the guild goes in, in the future. Hope you all have a great end to the year. May you have a very happy holiday season, and may your fingers and hands stay nimble and quick so you can continue to weave and create. Humbly yours, Susan
