Introduction

Sportsliner is a specialist air travel operator

formed to cater for the growing air transportation

requirements of European sports teams.

We supply dedicated (or shared) aircraft, offering

sports teams or their governing bodies a travel

solution not currently offered within Europe.

Presently:

Dedicated sports team aircraft services are not

offered by other carriers in the European market.

Major sports teams have enjoyed successful

growth in modern times and teams travel further

with more demanding schedules.

Transportation requirements have increased in

line with growing schedules.

Current pan-European travel arrangements are

through

• Scheduled airline service (inconvenient)

• Charter service (cost and appropriate

aircraft supply are unpredictable)

• Team ownership/direct leasing of aircraft

(common in USA but expensive and clubs are

not geared to manage the highly regulated operational side)

Sportsliner offers a radically different approach

to team mobility

It is driven by three criteria:

• Better comfort and convenience for team

movements

• More commercial opportunities for clubs,

leagues and sponsors

• Improved safety and security

The sportsliner model allows teams or leagues to

use the aircraft as an income stream to subsidise

cost.

Teams travel at reduced prices compared to

existing supply sources due to the rebates

available for carrying VIPs, press and sponsors.

Supporter rotations are also available as the

business model allows the club to retain the

majority of this income.

Sportsliner aircraft are also able to support more

traditional ad-hoc charter requirements such as

new product launches and the entertainment

industry when not in use with sports teams.

Away performance matters A football club is a business where the players are

employees and the supporters are in effect

consumers purchasing the performance of the

team .

The location of the game usually influences the

behaviour of both teams, by giving a perceived

advantage to the home team because of fan

support.

However leagues are won and lost on the team’s

ability to perform away from home.

Just over two thirds of points won were gained by

the teams playing at home, one third by the away

teams. Although home advantage is currently

lower in English league football than it has ever

been (currently around 60%), it remains a factor

that coaches must consider when preparing a

team for a game.

The location of the game can influence the

behaviour of both teams, both by giving an

advantage to the home team while at the same

time disadvantaging the visitors.

A major influence on away form is the quality,

convenience and comfort of the journey to the

venue.

A Sportsliner can assist in the delivery of

relaxed and refreshed players.

Improved productivity

increases performance

Productivity is a critical factor in determining the

success of virtually all profit generating

organisations.

Using a Sportsliner can enhance the productivity

of a team’s two most valuable assets: players and

time.

With a disruptive and tiring journey a team’s

performance can be greatly reduced, perhaps

determining the outcome of a crucial fixture.

Dedicated aircraft are more convenient and

under total club control.

They avoid the delays and hassle associated with

commercial flying, with no crowds or security

queues a Sportsliner is airborne within minutes!

The privacy and confidentiality of Sportsliner’s

personal cabin space means that flying time can

be put to fully productive use.

If delayed, there is no need to worry about

missed flights as we will always try to

accommodate unexpected changes to schedule.

A scheduled flight can seem like a simple trip,

but it can rapidly become a very costly

exercise in frustration and time.

Commercial power of Sports Branding Brand enhancement through heightened visibility

is one reason sponsors attach themselves to

European Football and other high-profile sports.

Heightened exposure leads to measurable

enhanced brand awareness and other benefits

such as increased sales.

The return to investment is high. This is a proven

fact with series such as the English Premiership,

German Bundesliga and Serie A.”

Main growth area for European sports team

branding is now the Far East.

Merchandising from brand awareness will

continue to be an increasing percentage of club

earnings.

Long-haul travel to these markets for pre-season

friendlies will become critical for success.

Provision of a branded aircraft in team (and

sponsor) livery is now technically possible and

provides clubs with an asset to use with sponsors

and fans to generate third party income.

Examples of Annual visibility

• 200m airport views annually

• Visible from the ground

• Commanding brand impact

In-flight dining Nutrition is particularly important for each of us

to keep in shape. It is one of the key elements for

any team success, as it contributes greatly to

accomplishing the performance for which each

team trains and avoids any deterioration in

health.

An appropriate diet must include the elements

that are essential for, and specific to, each sport.

The amount, composition, and timing of food

intake can profoundly affect a sports team’s

performance. Good nutritional practice will help

players train hard, recover quickly, and adapt

more effectively with less risk of illness and

injury. Food can contribute not only to the

enjoyment of life, but also to success in sport.

Professional sports players benefit from the

guidance of specialist sports nutritionists who

provide advice on their individual energy and

nutritional needs and also help them to develop

sport-specific nutritional strategies for training,

competition and recovery.

Our in-flight service coordinators liaise directly

with these nutritional specialists to ensure that

only the correct composition and timing of food

and drink intake is provided en-route to each

competition and during the recovery period upon

their return.
