ATTENTION EXHIBITORS The MAIN SHOW TENT will be the primary area for Sporting, Hound, Working, Non-Sporting, herding, Miscellaneous Groups and Best in Show. TVKC has allowed for a temporary ' staging area" under the tent for handlers and their dogs while they are waiting for their ri ng debut Handlers will be allowed to set up their crates for a ·shon period " of time which will be monitored by our club members and volunteers. This is NOT a grooming area for washing , drying, clipping, rather for your convenience .

GROOMING and CRATING space (indoor) will be available in the lartz Building for Toys & Terriers, 4-6 month puppies & Junior Handling on a first come first served basis (no charge). In addition, there is plenty of grooming and crating available (no charge) under the Cattle Building on a first come first serve, adjacent to the indoor Obedience & Rally rings (Ltama Building). long-term parking is also available behind these buildings. Unloading areas outside the Lartz Building will be designated and are only shOrf-term parking.

Indoor Preferred Grooming space (8'x1O') will also be available in the Wachob Building or in the Pavilion Lodge behind the Wachob building (TxT) for a fee (see page for pre-registratin form). In additin. TVKC is offering outdoor Preferred Parking (see map and pre-reg istration form) near the Main Show Tent. There fore, please get your reservations in as soon as possible, since space is limited!)

Handicap Parking and Judges Parking will be available on the north end of the site near the Trolley Building. The Fair Office is designated for our Rau Dog Show Superintendents, EMT-CPR, Eye and Hearing Clinics, and Catalog Sales. Please get your reservations in early for the Eye and Hearing Clinics (pre-registration form on page ).

ANY SPACE ON THE FAIRGROUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS_ THERE WILL BE NO SAVING OF SPACE. MATS may only be used on concrets floors (Wachob). NO PRIVATE EXERCISE PENS in the grooming area. No one will be permitted to set up in the grtooming areas before 2:00 PM on Friday_

Dogs will be permitted to remain on the event grounds from Friday through on hour after Best in Show on Sunday. Doors will be locked at 10:00pm sharp and will reopen at 6:00AM. Any dog not entered in the show events is not allowed on the show groundS. NO GUARD Will BE ON DUTY. Neither the clubs nor the OCCCE Fairgrounds will be responsible for loss or injury to property dor dogs.

Tonawanda Valley Kennel Club Inc. reseNed the right to forcibly enler any vehicle that contains an unattended dog showing distress, at the owner's expense. New Yof1c; Siale Law prohibits a pel or child to be left unattended in any vehicle.

NO lunge or Flexi leads permitted in the buildings, and dogs will not be waked in Ihe vicinity 01 the show rings on Flexi leads.

Due 10 space limitation, crates must be stacked_ Non-stackable crates will not be allowed. No crates or grooming tables will be permitted in the ring area - NO EXCEPTIONS. No chairs will be permitted in the aisles. No private exercise pens will be allowed inside the buildings, including Toy pens or Cocker pens. No praclicing in the rings at any lime.

New Yof1c; State law prohibils smoking in public areas and the village of Albion has passed an ordiance prohibiting smoking in their parks. Per order of the Fire Marshall , there is NO SMOKING in any building. near or under lhe lenls. No open fires are permitted anywhere on the grounds! Please see the OCCCE Camping Contract (Page) fordelails. There will be no alchol consumed or visible containers lell outside your "abode", I.e. camper, lent, van , vehicle, RV during the show due to the presence of underage children participating in these events. Please be aware for their safety!

BEST VETERAN IN SHOW COMPETITION SATURDAY AND SUNDAY The Best Veteran in Breed competition (for dogs 7 years of age and older on the day of the show) will be judged after the Best of Breed competition by the assigned breed judge. All Breed Winners wi ll compete for Best Veteran in Show to be held prior to Best in Show. Best Veteran at Breed and Best in Show Levels. No Groups.

BEGINNER PUPPY SPECIAL ATTRACTION DATE - Saturday, September 3,2016

Br ing your Beginner Puppies (4-6 months of age) to the Tonawanda Valley Kennel Club Four to Six Month Special Attraction (AKe Sanctioned). One combined class will be offered for breeds and varieties of dogs that are fou r months and under six months and divided into Groups as described in Chapter 3, Sechon 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows and the Miscellaneous Class breeds as listed in Chapter 3, Section 23. There will be a selection of Best of Breed Puppy in each BreedIVariety. All Best of Breed Puppy winners will then compete in their respective group for First through Fourth.

The Miscellaneous class competition will be judged by breed followed by a group competition. Foundation Stock SelVice (FSS) breeds may compete and the winners 01 each FSS breed will compete in an "FSS Group". The Miscellaneous Group an FSS Group winners will be eligible to compete in Best 4·6 Month Puppy in Show. An AKC registration number or litter number is required lor entries 01 an AKC recognized breed. FSS number or FSS registered liller number is required for Miscellaneous & FSS Breed entries.

Dogs must be four months of age and under six months. Dogs are required to be vaccinated in accordance with their veterina rian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission 01 illness by/to puppies not yet lully immunized. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying 10 Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations stale otherwise.

Exhibitors should plan on opening the moulh of their puppy for Ih judges. Breed standard disquali fications such as cofor, height , weight or dentition shall not be a point of consideration in the judging process for this 4·6 month Puppy Special Attraction event.

Bred by Exhibitor (BBE) Class eligibility All dogs entered in the Bred-by-ExhibitorClass must be individually registered with the AKC. The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog. To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record .

Amateu r-Owner-Handler - For dogs that are at least six months of age that are not champions. Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog and is limited to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time , been a professional dog handler, AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler

A judge requesting the use of a ramp muSI give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judg ing. AKC approval is not required.

The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table or ramp).

At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Clumber Spaniel , English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Chinese Shar-Pei, Keeshonden , Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and Norrboltenspets (Mise).

At the discretion of the judge the following breed may be judged on the table or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Cardigan Welsh Corgis.

At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the fOllowing breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp or on a table: Boykin Spaniels and Wh ippets.

The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels 01 conformation competition: Basset Hounds, Bulldogs and Chow Chows. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation doing shows and any AKC event wtlere a conformation tille may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the4·6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions.

Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any ground breed. In an emergency Situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund .

Forthe judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breeds.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION AKC Junior Handler Numbers are now required for entry in Junior Showmanship Competition. Numbers

MASTER CLASS: This Class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day 01 the show, and who have won the 10 lirst place wins in an Open Class with competition to be eligible to enter the limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Jun iors meeting the criteria for this class are required to entry the Master Class and may change their enlry the day of the show il entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.

Competition must exist for Best Junior Handler.

NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog has been processed , no refund will be made.

CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING. DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. DOGS NOT REQUIRED for further judging

will be excused. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY OOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible

for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-giving club and the superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required .

ALL OOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring.

CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims lor prize money must be made in the ring before the judging 01 that breed is over, and the Superintendent to be advised at once. The Superintendent and Show-giving Club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over.

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED. An administrative fee of $2.00 will be wHhheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing
