Part of the 2017 Seoul Biennale of Architecture, this international studio is predicated on providing sustainable growth & development for the Dongdaemun fashion & garment industry in Seoul, South Korea.

The studio involves the study of illumination during the day & night as well as re-imaging the future of the fashion industry through a mass-customization model and the spaces it would need to thrive.

Ray C. Anderson Memorial Highway Vision Plan, La Grange, GA

In the legacy of the late Ray C. Anderson, an entrepreneur & sustainability champion, this studio sought to memorialize his legacy into a 16 mile stretch of highway that would be considered a sustainable, pollution free piece of infrastructure that could be replicated across the world. The site is located in his hometown of La Grange, GA and adjacent to his international flooring empire, Interface Flor Inc. Ray C. Anderson passed away in 2011, however his legacy in sustainability with,

Mission Zero®, which was a program to bring his flooring company to zero impact on the environment by 2020. This goal is nearing its completion and should be achievable. Mission Zero® seeks to have the same results by 2040 using new design and engineering methods developed at Georgia Tech.

Race to Zero 2016Spring 2016 | Jason Brown, PhD, Professor | High Performance Building Laboratory

This was a competition project to design, analyze and prove market potential for a single family home.

Held by the US Department of Energy at NREL in Golden, Colorado, the goal for this project was to achieve Net-Zero energy consumption. This required the team to construct

durable wall sections, design efficient mechanical systems, package it in an efficient architecture and run an energy analysis to simulate an occupant load as well as a seasonal climate. Then we ran a cost analysis of the design and compared it to the Atlanta housing market for viability.
